"Vanilla Sky" vs "Not Another Teen Movie"

I think NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE will either open at #1 or #2 and open with around 25-30 Million. VANILLA SKY should open at #3 with around 22 Million. I think at the end of their theatrical runs NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE should probably outgross VANILLA SKY.

I'll see Vanilla Sky, but I grimace even watching the previews for NATM.
I definitely think Vanilla Sky will open higher (probably #1 or #2, behind Ocean's 11), and will make more overall.
A lot of people say NATM looks just like Scary Movie, so it might be a sleeper hit, but I think it looks just like Scary Movie 2, so it will be a massive disappointment. Plus, what could they possibly do to parody teen movies anymore than they parody themselves?

I want to see Vanilla Sky for a number of reasons. The first being that it reunites Crowe and Cruise. The premise is one of the most promising this year. And it looks great. I will not see the other movie simply because it looks like another "Scary Movie" type, and I hated that and its sequel, so, NO!

2) Vanilla Sky will gross more, but then again, I am not good at predicting the box office.

They both look good and I will see both however if Oceans 11 opens huge this weekend, I think it will stay Number One for a second week.

I predict (Keep in mind this is if Oceans 11 opens huge and has a fantastic second weekend which I predict)

Vanilla Sky opening in second place with $25 million

Not Another Teen Movie opening in third place with $15 million

Overall I predict Vanilla Sky to gross an eventual $110 million, while Not Another Teen Movie will top off with about $50 million, a little more than Dude Where's My Car.....

I really want to see both of those movies really bad.

I think that Vanilla Sky and Not Another Teen Movie will open at #1 and #2, respectively. Because Vanilla Sky looks to be the better movie and has its star power in Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and director Cameron Crowe. Not Another Teen Movie doesn't have that, but it will still open big.

Ocean's 11 wont take the top spot two weeks in a row. This time of the year, no film should have it more than one week. Except Lord of the Rings will have it for probably 2 weeks, nothin more because there are a lot more movies coming out in late December that have Oscar written all over them and people will go to see them.

I'm going to be seeing both movies when they open, But I will see Vanilla Sky first..

And I think Vanilla Sky will definetly make more money then NATM at the box office, although NATM will do very well probaly finishing with a total of 110 million, Vanilla will make more I'd say around 130 million for that one, Why? because if you look at the two movie's there really is'nt any competition, Vanilla Sky will easily make more.......

I can't wait to see both of these films! Vanilla Sky will have me thinking, and Not Another Teen Movie will have me laughing. I don't know which is going to make more money... my guess is NOTM. Vanilla Sky should do well, but I'm not expecting that big an opening.

The sad thing is, that Not Another Teen Movie will probably make plenty of money, causing more stupid movies like it to be produced. I will of course go see Vanilla Sky, because after viewing the trailer, and clips online, I am very interested. I remember back when filming was being done on the film, I sooooo didn't want to see it, but I've become obsessed with seeing it, since the trailer came online. Even though I still believe that Cruz will be it's downfall, like every other movie she is in. No talent hack that she is. Anyway.... Vanilla Sky has my vote over Not Another Teen Movie

I think "Vannila Sky" will open with 30 million and finish with around 125 million. Tom Cruise is a famous actor and with all the divorce news he is even bigger. Plus they can see Cruz and Cruise's chemistry. Plus the trailers make it look like a dark mind trip. And all of the movie geeks will be there because of Jason Lee. "Not Another Teen Movie" will make 3rd place with 22 million. And finish with 45 million because in my opinion it will drop like 55-60% because of "Joe Somebody" which willl gross 35 million opening weekend. Those are my thoughts.

I wanna see both, but Vanilla Sky will most likely be first. It looks great, it seems like Tom Cruise may finally get that Oscar he's wanted for so many years. NATM looks hilarious too. It actually looks a lot less disgusting than Scary Movie. That is Whack!

As for the b.o., it will be close and both films will take in probably about $21-25 million.

I am seeing both. But Vanilla Sky is definately going to be the better movie. It will also gross more. I think it will gross between 15-20 million and be at second or third place. Ocean's Eleven will probably be first for the second week in a row. Second place is a toss up between Vanilla Sky or Harry Potter. I am going to go with Vanilla Sky in second and Harry Potter in third and Not Another Teen Movie in fourth probably making around 10 million, give or take a million or two.

Teen Movie will make at least 100 million. Vanilla Sky will do the same type of biz that Eyes Wide Shut did - around 50- 60.
Vanilla Sky is an art film dressed up in studio clothing. people are not going to like it.

Scary Movie grossed about $160 million, not $200 million and Vanilla Sky is far from an "art" film, it's an adult thriller/drama.....if you are going to say that it is an art film then you could say that A Beautiful Mind, Traffic, The Others and a whole slew of adult dramas are as well (however they are not!).........

Vanilla Sky looks kind of artsy but I would hardly call it an art film, it's more of an adult drama/thriller. Anyway, it's far from looking like Eye's Wide Shut and will definately make more money than it. I'd say 85-90 Million at the "least" but it should cross the 100 Million mark. I'd say around 110 Million, unless the reviews and word of mouth are bad then less, but I doubt it will have bad word of mouth.

Not Another Teen Movie does look funny, hilarious to be exact and it will make a lot of money. It will cross the 100 Million mark for sure and could end with around 115-125 Million in the U.S. alone.

I have a feeling Not Another Teen Movie will do poorly.

Scary Movie had the help of a little star power.

What does Not Another Teen Movie have, besides obvious parodies of movies that are sort of old, at this point?

WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER bombed, and that one got great reviews at SUNDANCE and nearly all-around.
