I thought this was a very underated 80's slasher film. Has plenty of gore to satisfy as well.

Yes, I`ve seen it. It`s lots of fun. Perhaps the first spoof-ish slasher movie.
Good characters, and I felt sorry for the poor guy at the beginning. Some good deaths too (all about that acidic beer!).
Features a music score by Harry "Friday the 13th" Manfredini.
And that 80`s rock-song that gets played over and over is hilarious!

Seen it??? I consider myself very lucky to have a copy of this flick! It is another in a LONG list of out of print, VERY hard to FIND horror films from the 80's...Slaughter High!
Fun stuff is what the revenge driven slashers (Are there any other kind?) were all about! :D

****SPOILERS***** (maybe)
Is this the one where at the end, and everyone is dead, they all get up from the street and we realise it was all a joke, or a movie being shot or something??? If it was, it was DREADFUL. OH MY GOD.
If it's the wrong movie, can someone tell me which one I'm thinking of??

Slaughter High does have a twist ending along the lines of Return to Horror High which some people lament. It is such a shame that the actor who played Marty committed suicide shortly after Slaughter High. Genre fave Caroline Munro also stars as one of Marty’s tormenters. The effects are what this one has going for it with the acid bath, the chugging of the acid in a beer can, and when Marty goes up in flames. Watch this one and Intruder for an eighties slasher double feature. I also have a copy of the un-rated print from Vestron Video.

You LUCKY LUCKY FUCKERS!!! Those of you who have UN-RATED editions of this classic 80's slasher!! I just put a post up yesterday asking if anybody knew of any plans to release a dvd copy of this ultra rare gem!! It's so unfair - it probably never will see a release, but I can't understand why!
As for the death of SIMON SCUDDAMORE who played Marty, it is a shame. Apparantly it was shortly after the movie was released. Nobody knows for sure why he killed himself, but I heard he was abused by his father as a child - physically and sexually.
P.S. - CAROLINE MUNRO is married to SLAUGHTER HIGH'S director, GEORG DUGDALE. Did anyone know that? I only found out the other day!!!!

Also sounds alot like "April Fools". Both that and Return to Horror High gave me nightmares when I was a kid (about 5).

THE DEAD ONE -
No probs bud. I found it kind of upsetting too, even though I didn't know much about him. I think it's mainly because of the way he is treated as a bully subject in the first part of the film. And, as you said, it was a bit too close to home for comfort. I truly hope that nothing that happened on the set of that film contributed towards his death as that would be terrible.
The same goes for what happened during the production of CLOWNHOUSE. I truly wish none of that EVER happened, but it's my favourite film so I have majorly mixed feelings towards that subject.
It's a strange world. :(

Hopefully Simon Scuddamore is in a better one...
Take care of yourself morgan...thanks again.

I didn't know that, but I do know she released a cover of a Gary Numan track called Pump It Up taken from his 1984 album BERSERKER, so she's cool in my book!!.
The death of Simon Scuddmamore is utterly tragic, if these rumours of him being abused by his father are true I hope he suffers guilt and misery for the rest of his dirty fucking life, evil bastard.

I really need tor ent this agian. It was great. It has some nasty gore that for once grosed me out instead of make me laugh.
Pure 80's creepiness!
Spoilers:I was lucky to find this extremely hard-to-find OOP movie. But guess what? It was the R-rated version! GODDAMN U MPAA!!! BURN IN HELL! I'm gonna order unrated version though. The bathtub scene really got to me, along with the acid beer thing and the tractor death. BTW mary lou, next time I go to Brandon, the first thing I'm gonna do is record UR copy of Slaughter High, PN2, and DOTC, ok?

SPOILERS FOR SLAUGHTER HIGH
Okay this movie is retardedly funny. A group of high school students pick on class dork Marty but end up disfiguring him in a prank gone awry. The scene with Marty taking a shower is hysterical. You can clearly see that he is wearing underwear. You might be saying to yourself thats not THAT weird. Maybe he showers with his underwear on at school. No. Because in a couple seconds when he's dragged out of the shower he is completely naked.
I think the youngest of these "kids" was actually like 26 in real life. Not to mention that they are all played by British actors and their accents slip in and out of the movie very seamlessly. I'm sorry, I meant awkwardly.
Okay so they disfigure him and never hear from him again. Five years later they are all invited to their high school reunion. So they all show up and see each other for the first time since graduation.
This is all a hoax though, set up by Marty himself. You see the school has actually been closed down and he has invited them just for the purpose of revenge, hence the name Slaughter High.
This amazes me. The school has closed down and NONE of the ten or so classmates have seemed to have heard of it. It's not like this movie is taking place twenty or thirty years later. It's a mere five years but fine. I can live with that.
So Marty starts picking off classmates one by one, and amongst all the chaos one of the girls decides she needs to take a bath. Why the school actually has a bath tub is beyond me. Why she feels she needs to take a bath at this very moment instead of... uh... trying to escape or something... is even more beyond me. GOD forbid if scientists found her body ten million years from now and thought that humanity wasn't very hygenic. We would be the laughingstock then, wouldn't we? To make matters worse, I think the water actually turns to blood. Ooohhh creepy.
Of all the stupidly fucked up things in this movie though this next one has to be the worse. Two of the remaining girls start talking and realize it is Marty who's doing the killings. The movie takes place on April Fools Day. They realize that if they can survive past April Fools Day Marty will spare them. However instead of surviving until midnight (which still wouldn't make sense even if the movie was TRYING to use logic) they for some reason have to survive until noon of April 2nd. I mean seriously, what the fuck? The one girl asks "Do you really think it will work?" to which the other replies "Marty has stuck to the rules so far..." WHAT? WHAT FUCKING RULES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! Ahh yes... he's killing you all as per your agreement. I really would love to know what "rules" that Marty was "following" she was referring to. They must have read something like this:
1. Kill former classmates
2. Must stop at noon of April 2nd
For anyone who was seriously trying to point out plot holes or glaring inconsistencies with common logic consider your time wasted because at the end the movie just gives you a big FUCK YOU! Why? Cause it was all a dream that Marty was having. He is actually a nut job now in a loony bin.
Best... movie... ever.
Slaughter High 10/10

I just realized something. The lovely Caroline Munro is 57 years old now. That means she was actually 36 when she was in Slaughter High and she was playing an 18 year old. Literally half her age. Simon Scuddamore was 29. These people were too old to be playing high school students even by 90210 standards.

That's right dude. Apart from mentioning the fact most of the British cast let their accents slip (I think the movie was shot here in the UK) reviewers stated that the cast looked WAY older than the 'normal' late 20's actors who star as teens in slasher films!!!! 36 man, fuck!!! I don't remember thinking she was THAT old though.

Yeah dude, I was surprised too. I met Caroline Munro at a convention a few weeks ago and a couple days before I decided to do some research on her and found out her birthday was in January of 1950 which would make her 57 now. Last night I thought about it though, and I realized that Slaughter High was 21 years ago and she would have been 36 when filming it. I knew they were all older but I was thinking mid to late 20s. She definitely didn't look like she was in her late 30's though. I would have never guessed it from looks alone. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

This movie was awful. The last 20 minutes lifted music straight from Friday the 13th part V... give it a listen.

He he yeah speaking of the same score being used twice, check out SEAN S. CUNNINGHAM'S DEEP STAR SIX. Anybody thinking the whole damn thing sounds like a FRIDAY THE 13th would be right! The score was done by none other than HARRY "FRIDAY THE 13th" MANFREDINI! Dude, change your score! It makes you suck a bit! Only a bit though. :D

I just bought a Slaughter High tee shirt with Marty in full jester uniform with a ruler in hand. Upon seeing it I was shocked. I mean who would actually merchandise Slaughter High? I just HAD to buy it. The vendor and I talked for a minute about how cheesily awesome the film is. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
