What is the best movie director of all times? I would say David Lynch, Tim Burton and Quentin Tarantino. But there are so many other directors, but these are my favourites. What do you say guys?

I can't believe no-one mentioned
Dave Beauchene!
If you haven't heard of Beauchene or his films, you don't know movies.

Sam Mendes
Tim Burton
M. Night Shyamalan
James Cameron

They all make great films, even though Sam Mendes has only made one movie...it's my favorite movie, though.

That is not entirely true. I know plenty about movies or films as I would call them. I don't think you even spelled the name right. NO ONE MENTIONED: Andrei Tarkovsky, have you heard of him samudan? Have you seen Solaris?

Ok, I`m not samudan, but I`ll answer, too to the upper question.Yes, I`ve seen Solaris.By the way, there are many good directors from Russia, not only Tarkovsky.I like many directors, because everyone of them has his/her own vision, which is very interesting. But I love only one of them -Spielberg.

3. Jean-Luc Godard
4. Theo Angelopoulos
5. Robert Bresson
6. François Truffaut
7. Akira Kurosawa
