Everyone has at least one really great movie-going experience. Tell about the film(s) that really made an impact on you and why.

The Atlanta Premiere of "Twister" at the Fox Theatre in May 1996; the sound shook the floor, and the movie was terrific fun.

When I saw ROBOCOP on opening night when it came out. I was only like 13 and was expecting to see only a mindless action flick. But what I saw just fuckin' blew me away. Everything about that film worked for me. The extreme violence, the dark humor, everything. And I went to go see it 3 more times that summer. I've always loved going to the movies before that but it was seeing that film that really turned me into the hardcore movie lover I am now.

PHANTOM MENACE.

Crowd excitement and a bunch of druggies filled the place with smoke. Beautiful.

"Return of the Jedi"
Back in 1997 ThereWolf went to the Special Edition Premiere it was jam packed to the rafters, the audience was insane people were wearing costunes and had toy lightsabers.
And at the end during the Ewok celebration Everyone Got up to dance and celebrate!

Two years leater ThereWolf had a similar experience when he saw "The Phantom Menace"! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The night I saw for the first time "Jurassic Park".The theatre was full and the movie made me gasp.My dream has come true- the dinosaurs has become live.Of course, now when I see the movie again and again doesn`t feel like that.

I agree, the sounbd of Twister and the visual effects of Jurassic Park.

The braquiosaurius scene (actually the first dinosaur that you saw in the trilogy) was amazing.

The movie that first blew my mind in the theater was "Saving Private Ryan". When I walked out of the theater shook up, I knew, I just knew I had seen the Best movie of 1998. And NOT to my surprise, I was right. That opening sequence was and is the most scary experience I have ever seen in a movie theater. I still remember that day when I saw it, very clearly, and I'll never forget. A one of a kind experience seeing it for the first time, without any knowledge of what is going to happen, it is just you and the screen. This is just like many others that I missed, either because I wasn't born or not old enough. This is why I love movies.

Wow! I totally agree with all of you guys. I think that Jurassic Park is my favorite movie experience above all. The T-Rex attack completley blew my mind. Especially when you first see the T-Rex tear through the cables of his pen.
