That's a very good question, I think the producers forgot to kill him off maybe or he got too drunk and went on a binge and got laid a bunch of times and forgot to return to get killed off.

Perhaps, perhaps.......

But the nerdy dude in Part 7 never got any, and HE still died!
But THAT guy was really annoying.....at least Ted was somewhat likable.
And hey, he may have been a major dork, but at least he wasn`t above gettin` drunk with his pals!

Personally, I think Frank the Tank is probably right: the producers probably just forgot to film a death scene for him.

Yeah, thats probably the case.

Although the film is great, the producers obviously showed their laziness for forgetting about poor Ted.

Much like Paramount, who are showing off their laziness with their half assed attempt at a F13th Box Set!

I read an interview with Charno at one of the "F13" websites, and he claims ALL the footage with his character was in the movie.

Big girls need lovin' too , and in this instance they saved someone's life . Some stuck up bimbo would have shot him down , bruised his ego and prob caused him to leave the bar early , which would have sealed his fate at the wrong end of a hatchet , so i guess you can say a big woman performed a public service by hooking up with the hapless geek , if we are to believe that theory . He certainly does look like an unrepentant " hogger " .

I don't think the makers were being lazy. When Paul and Ginny left he blatantly said he was staying on. So all the viewers are left to assume he stuck around at that bar or went elsewhere. If you remember there were a handful of other councillors who went to the bar too (including a token black guy who only had a few lines that consisted of 'whoops' and 'whoos'!!). By the time they got back Jason probably was dead.

A lot of that pending on how Friday 2-4 all take place in a matter of days...

Now we have the idea for Friday The 13th Part 11. Jason goes after Ted, who's now in his mid 40's and his fat wife and they meet in a final battle.

The film made it pretty clear he was intent on staying out all night, going from bar to bar. No plot hole here. There were also all these other counselors lucky enough to get out when they could, since the writers couldn't be bothered to think of ways to kill them off individually.

Yeah there's some funny stuff in this thread alright. Ted was one of the best characters in the series. I always thought that he was pretty lucky to not have returned to camp. He was one of the few characters you expect to bite it but actually is just left alone. Like that paintball dude who ends up running away from JASON and screaming in JASON LIVES. Paintball man and Ted should return for FRIDAY THE 13th PART XI: JASON vs LONG FORGOTTEN MINOR CHARACTERS FROM FRIDAY THE 13THS PAST. Excellent idea!!! Jason hunts down those who had previously escaped him!! It would be like the opening to HALLOWEEN H20 where Mikey kills DR LOOMIS' nurse from the first 2. She evaded Mikey for years but he got her in the end!!! Remember the hard-nosed paramedic and the scared ass black girl at the start of THE FINAL CHAPTER. They should be in it too. :D

Why they could have characters from FRIDAY 3 like Abel and Man Who Rung Up Shelley And Vera In The Convenient Store During Their Encounter With Ali, Loco, And Fox. Ha Ha. Don't tell me you guys never thought of what would happen if JASON had to face off against that giant cook from JASON TAKES MANHATTAN again. Yeah and if NEW LINE got their way they'd probably cast KEN KIRZINGER as JASON again! He'd end up fighting himself because we all know it was HIM who played the cook in PART 8! KANE HODDER would be relegated to the 'random passer by' role! :(

I love the way our slang terms differ from country to country. I know when you guys say "rung up" you mean "served". The guy "served" SHELLEY etc at the store. When we say "rung up" it means to call someone on the phone. So it sounded like you said the cashier called SHELLEY etc on the phone!! LOL To tell him what, that he loved him!!!! Was it STEVIE FUCKING WONDER!!!! :D

Actually these days in my country to "serve" somebody means to make them look totally foolish in a dance competition... so yeah our slang really DOES differ.

With the next couple of Monster Manias coming up this year I hope they get Stu Charno. I didn't know he did conventions but now that I found out I would really like to meet him.

They really need to get hold of all the survivors and minor characters and make a new sequel. To top of all shoddy plot devices it should take place at some kind of hospital or pyschiatric clinic in the mountains or woods etc. The characters join forces as "Camp Crystal Lake" survivors who come together to talk about their experiences and how it's affected their lives mentally etc. The doctors/psychiatrists die one by one and before long it's business as usual.

I would queue for hours to see that! :D

Actually Paintball Man WAS killed by Jason after being chased. Though it's not shown, the cops later find an arm and a leg (we can tell it's him because of his socks) along with his glasses. So no, he didn't make it...

Hmmm. I always assumed Ted WAS possibly killed. Does anyone remember the newspaper article Tommy and Trish dig up in The Final Chapter near the end that says that Jason had recently attacked a bar or something?
