I'd put my money on FOTR not making as much money as Harry Potter....(In the US)

And I second that prediction (that will be a fact in due time).

While I know that FotR won't come too close to HP's one day, weekend, and one/two week totals, I think it'll have a whole lot more staying power, which is what will allow it to do very well anywhere.

http://www.joblo.com/ubb/confused.gif Maybe Boys, Les 3 is about three lebian boys on there way to the top of the box-office charts...Wait a minute, that didn't make sense..

It does sound like it's about gay boys, maybe it's porn...

Mike and HorrorWhore.......

Les Boys 3 is another sequel to the enormously popular French Canadian film Les Boys. It's about a hockey team. The first one broke records here in Canada as one of the biggest French Canadian films of all time.....it's sequel did as well...

Not to mention that the $ 130,000 gross is for the province of Quebec alone as it only has been released there....it grossed over $1 million in Quebec over the weekend......it'san enormous franchise in Quebec and it is far from porn......

It's English title is called Boys Life 3. It is about gay youths, but it's not a porn. I highly doubt that a porn movie will break the top 10.

I guess it's NOT!!!!.....Les Boys 3 does not translate into Boy's Life 3....they are two very different films!

I also thought so earlier on, but since Harry potter probably won't reach the 300 million mark, FOTR might make a bit more. HP opened big and then falled fast. FOTR migh have more staying power and repetition value.

Yeah, here in québec this is a very Hudge movie like Star Wars i'll say. JoBlo propably seen it....or maybe not...

I thnik that Potter will stop before 300 millions and that LOTR will gross around 350 millions

Calm down idealdiscountdude, I didn't really think it was gay born, the title sounded like it could be but I knew it wasn't. I didn't know what it was but I didn't think it was gay porn. I was just kidding. Don't get so mad.

You sounded mad, but being stressed can have that effect on people. Good luck with finals.

Damn! With the exception of Ocean's 11, this is a pretty crappy weekend at the box-office. It seems like everything dropped at least 40%. Ocean's 11 should be able to pull about $38 million for the weekend, and Harry Potter should reach about $14 million.

FlickJunkie

Oh NO!!! Harry Potter looks to gross a little over $10 million for the weekend. Ocean's 11 looks to gross about 38 million, which that I am happy about cause that's about what I guessed over at Lee's Movie Info.

Here's number 11 and 12 in case anyone is interested:

11. Life As A House/ 0.625
12. Heist/ .450

WOW! I can't believe how much Behind Enemy Lines dropped in it's second weekend. Oceans Eleven did very well for itself and with all the good word of mouth and good reviews I don't think it will drop too much next weekend even though two big movies are opening, Vanilla Sky and Not Another Teen Movie. Oceans Eleven might keep the #1 spot next weekend but NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE has a very good chance of stealing it away. OCEANS ELEVEN should either be #1 or #2 this next weekend and VANILLA SKY should find itself in 3rd place.

My TOP 3 predictions for next weekend are:

1. NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE/ 26 Million
2. OCEANS ELEVEN/ 25 Million
3. VANILLA SKY/ 22-23 Million
