Can you say "coolest superhero movie ever?" I can. I'm not saying this will be the best super hero movie ever, I'm just pointing out the fact that I can say "coolest super hero movie ever." It's free country. I can say what I want. Great pics, by the way.

IMO it'll be tough to beat Daredevil, The Rocketeer, Superman and the first Batman movie (and if Spider-Man 2 is even half as good as it looks then that one too) but I too think it could pull it!

It easily has the most impressive cast ever for a comic book movie!

but by making an official thread, you'll have to search through pages just to find specific information, when you can just have a new thread. There's going to be a lot of new information coming out for Batman, so there will be many topics to talk about, hence why it got its own topic area.

Why did they pick Ken Watanabi to play Ras Al Ghul? he doesn't even look anything like him. Ra is supposed to be a european or middle eastern guy, not japanese. And does anybody know who will be playing Thalia? I hope it's not some white girl w/ blonde hair cause thats would just be wrong.

Actually Ras Al Ghul's race is unknown. He is supposed to be a man of many nationalities. In the Animated series, they made him sound English because it was their view of him. And judging from his origin in the comics, he is more than likely a man of Japanese descent. Keep in mind that this Ras is Nolan's view of him.

BTW Talia is not in this movie, nor is mentioned, which is a bummer.:(

The latest Newsweek has a great article on Batty, as well as a kick ass photo of Neeson (looks creepy as hell) as well as those photo's above.

Batman is not a superheroe , he has no superpowers , that's why he will always be my favorite comic book character . Spiderman pales in comparison , can't relate to someone with super powers who isn't as vulnerable as the next guy . Batman has to use skill , talent , and an awesome array of weaponry to get the job done , SM doesn't have too much to worry about , he's virtually indestructable , no drama or tension there . There is much less at stake for him .

Plus , i feel the problems that Parker faces are sophmoric compared to Wayne's , i always felt he had more depth and pathos , and a cool ass base of operations , the Batcave , the ultimate guy's fantasy hideout , what does Parker have , a cheap studio apartment in downtown Manhattan , oh cool .

Anyway , this new version is looking great , although i'm somewhat reminded of the first three films , but as long as the pathos of Bruce Wayne is one of the main focal points , then i'll be more than satisfied , and it looks as though it will be .

No matter how much i want to see SM 2 , this is the comic book hero i'm really waiting for , he's going to be back in a big way , i'm sure of it . Should have called it Batman : Ressurection , because that's what this film is going to do , revive the franchise .

Hope they find room for the classic line " I'm Batman " in there , that never gets old .

To add to that, it's always hard to relate to a boy-genius that goes out with a super model... Really, in the original comics, MJ was a lingerie model. I always thought Gwen Stacey was 100% better anyways.

Aren't you forgetting something? He 'aint called the worlds greatest detective for nothing!

This is just a quick thought:

how cool would it be if Nolan got the rights to use the Orchestra Version of the Summer Overture from Requiem for a Dream for Batman Begins!!

Im listening to it now and im just imagening images from Batman Begins. Damn. That would be too cool for words.

Batman is the best comic book character ever.

I don't know about the best , but one of the best , i can easily see that .

One thing BB has going against it , is that the material and narrative will be " dark " , a mature version of a comic book hero film , unlike SM , which is mainly over the top , silly , and cartoonish . I don't see it making as much money as SM because of that , but i def see a blockbuster with much more substance than the light and airy webslinger .

I'm thinking all the best elements of the first three Batman films will be utilized and Nolan will throw in his own little twists and style to top it off . And i'm glad that he looks as if he will not let the villians take center stage and possibly overshadow the story of Batman / Wayne . Even though i think the first 3 were great , the bad guys were just a little too over the top to take seriously ( except for Catwoman ) . No way he will make that same mistake .
