I wish CPS would be disbanded already. They do a half-assed job and they're assholes.
Plenty of abuse goes unnoticed by Child Protective Services...
Here's my experience:
1) File a report.
2) Get a response of "Insufficient Evidence"
So basically you have to be on the brink of death before they fucking do anything.
Chief Wiggum is right. "The law is powerless to help you"
Oh and the cops! Don't get me started on them....
grrr
There needs to be an organization to punish the type of assholes who would abuse a child, but I guess this one's not doing that good. I think an overhaul would be better than just disbanding it.

I know people in that field, but the ones I know are good. And they're just as disturbed as you at the state of that organization.
As a former foster parent, I can tell you from experience that government agencies are unproductive, underfunded, and often lackadaisical. I also watched my foster children go back to a mother that isn't fit to have them.

Too much sticky, gooey red tape. Which is the problem not only with CPS, but with government period.
Of course, when you're talking about CPS, LIVES are at stake, for crying out loud. The individual field workers need more latitude to use their own judgement.

Sort of. But they need a better screening process to hire. Lots of the individual field workers are fuckwads.
