Compared to countries like Iraq, yeah, we're pretty darned liberal, but to Canada, I wouldn't as say as much.

I'd like to see how America is looking these days.


Ah hell. This was meant to be a poll. Maybe the moderator can help. I'm okay with this just taking straight responses though. I jsut really wanted a poll. Gosh darn it!

Well, as I said previously, I think it's cyclical. We have our moments of Liberality. (Christ, is "liberality" even a word?)

But we're mired in a holy war right now, making most of my worthless rantings moot.

I agree about it going in cycles.

Would you say the notion that we came about to avoid tea taxes is a reactionary trait?

That was reactionary. "No soup for you!"

It sets a dangerous precedent for us as a country to wage a war proactively. But that's what we've done.
