extremely unfunny award shows

i am not a big fan of award shows, but if i watch 5 minutes of any random one i am absolutely embarassed on how unfunny they are.

if i was watching one with someone else i would make up anyhting to get out of the room.

they are simply horrible anyone agree with me?

and if you do can you remember particular instances where the jokes fell flat or the crowd was falling asleep becasue no one gave a shit.

man that sucked

and the guns n roses bit at the end wasnt much better...

Lindsay Lohan wasn't that good of a host for the MTV Movie awards, although the stuff she was given wasn't really that noteworthy anyways. Jimmy Fallon was bad, like he always is, and I remember cringing when the Wayans hosted. I didn't think their material was bad, but you could sense they were uncomfortable since the laughter was not abundant. Marlon flashing his ass seemed to be born out of desperation. Hosts aside, the parodies haven't been that good lately, and it's sad that the Academy Awards garnered more laughs than an award show that didn't take itself seriously

I cant watch them anymore I still have flashbacks when Jetro Tull beat out Metallica and Motorhead for best Heavy Metal group.

I believe anyone who watches Tara-Ponce-Conston and Tony Blackburn host anything should have their tv confiscated, cut into 1000 pieces, burnt into the ground, and have magic unicorns dance on the ash.

i did not see the one with jimmy fallon. anything in your mind stick out in particular, or was it an overall jsut poor poor unfunny spectacle?

I remember that award show, it was terrible. The Wayans were painfully unfunny, the lights went out a couple of times and that guy from Rage Against the machine making and ass of himself when Limp Biskit won for "Best Rock Video" I think.

I thought the bassist from Rage Against The Machine was the highpoint. Thats the problem with the shows nowdays they are all processed and packaged just like the music. Sometimes some good old fashioned anarchy spices things up. It did suck that he did when Limp Biskit was up though.

The look on Metallica's faces is fucking priceless. And when they won that award a few later, their speech was hilarious. "We'd also like to thank Jethro Tull for not releasing a record"

Yes that what the fuck look was priceless. It would have been nice to see Motorhead win just to hear the speech that Lemmy would have given.

I thought it was Jethro Tull, Metallica, ACDC, Iggy Pop and Jane's Addiction?
