Ordering Food

I HATE, when people in movies are gonna go have a little chat in a restaraunt or diner or whatever! Why you ask?
The woman and man sit down. The man tried to explain something to woman/Woman tries to explain something to man.
Woman/Man orders food. Woman/Man leave without getting the food.
WHY THE HELL TO PEOPLE ORDER FOOD IF THEY'RE GONNA LEAVE IN 10 SECONDS?!?!?

I hate it...It annoys me...And in the words of Homer Simpson:

You're so right, this happens all the time in movies.

When the food does arrive, characters will often take a bite or two, throw money down on the table, and leave.

When I make a movie, I'll be sure to have someone eating their lunch in REAL TIME, no interruptions. :D

I know what you mean. Don't they realize there are Starving Children in Africa that would LOVE to eat that stuff?

One notable exception is in "About Schmidt" where he, his wife and their two older friends are sitting around eating their weekly dinner at some steakhouse.

That's the one time I can think of, I saw people eating and I really wished I hadn't.

thats kinda weird....

last night i was watching the episode of Friends with all the cheesecakes (Season 7) and Phoebe and Joey are out to eat... Pheobe orders than walks out without eating... and i said to myself "she didnt even eat.. why'd she order"?!

even though it was a strenuating circumstance (she had to go see Hank Azaria.. the lovbe of her life who was leaving for Minsk)

but i still thought it!
