I want to know if this trilogy is kick ass. I saw one of these movies on tv right at the end for at least 5 min. it has Hilary swank in it I think? I got the DVDS because STEPHIN KING RULES!

The first one is a decent little ghost story, with rather good acting. I got involved with the characters. The lead particularly (TIM MATHESON) was fleshed out very well and I genuinely felt for his character. It kind of reminds me of STAND BY ME - An older man reflecting on good times with a close friend (in this case his brother). Good film.

i was interested in the films after reading the short story, but all the reviews ive read have been very negative, it would be interesting to hear some other opinions though

I actually HATE the movies and think it's king's worst project (yes worst than Langoliers)

I've only seen chunks of the original. Melodramatic sediment. As far as I'm concerned, this series doesn't exist.

The first was pretty good. The others were not connected to each other at all. The second one was...okay. I have not seen the third. It looks like shite, but I'll probably rent it sometime this summer.
They play the first two on the Sci-Fi Channel every once in a while.

The first WAS melodramatic but I always enjoyed it. Absolutely hate the second and would never watch it again. Never knew there was a third

I had the DVD with both 1 and 2 on it. 1 was decent, but nothing special. I never could get into 2, and didn't finish, getting rid of the DVD soon after.

Yeah, the title for the third one is Sometimes They Come Back...For More, and it takes place in the Arctic.
