Never turned a film off or walked out, but I have come close with the following:

Leaving Las Vegas
Showgirls
Boogie Nights
Evita
An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn
Spice World
Lost Highway

I'm pretty sure there are others, but can't think of them right now.

Leaving Las Vegas? Boogie Nights? Dogma? What was so terribly unwatchable about these films, bskutle and KingKes?

My list of films I wanted to turn off would be:

Dead-Alive (aka Braindead)
Zombie!
The Waterboy
Big Daddy
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Diabolique (remake)
Dear God
Gone Fishin'
Stephen King's Night of Horror
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Superstar

I liked Dogma, mostly because I just love the Christianity-through-the-fucking-wringer take this film has. Although it features some of Affleck's worst acting to date (especially once he tries to pick up his emotional level).

Speed 2: Cruise Control

(prepare for sacrelige) Doctor Zhivago
(and again) Lawrence of Arabia

Armageddon

Figured I should put a couple contemporary bombs with a couple of revered "classics".

I've already ripped on 2001 too much today to bother repeating myself...

Well, I personally liked "Dogma," but here's why I didn't care for "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Boogie Nights":

-"Leaving Las Vegas"- I found this immensely boring. This is probably the one movie I've seen where the slow pace really bothered me, and personally, the story was not that interesting, even if it is based on a true story. The fact that two people would accept each other for who they are isn't exactly a new concept (strong bonds between any two people practically require such acceptance); the only thing that makes it unique is that he's an alchoholic, and he's a prostitute, and personally, that wasn't enough to increase my interest in the story. Like "Bound" (another overrated film), the one aspect that makes it different from other stories like it (in "Bound's" case, the lesbian angle) is filled with too many other cliches to make it worthwhile. And what was with Elizabeth Shue talking into the camera? I just didn't get that.

-"Boogie Nights"- P.T. trying to channel Scorsese and Tarantino without the energy of the former and the originality of the latter. Scorsese and Nicholas Pileggi should receive co-screenwriting credit seeing as though the basic storyline- despite different characters and settings- was EXACTLY the same as "GoodFellas" (which the two co-wrote), with any deviations from the form to make it compelling on its own terms. I also found the characters in no way interesting or sympathetic; just pathetic.

Anyone ever see The Wedding Singer? When will Adam Sandler stop trying?

True Romance. Both me and my friend were watching it, and found it to be the cheesiest movie ever created. We couldn't continue watching it after about 30 minutes.

I have only done this three times!

1. Black and White- This film was just a cuss word. Some movies like "Pulp Fiction" have cuss words but this film just had them(nice dialouge was hard to find). Plus it was racist toward white people. Plus why should we care about kids who call themselves "niggaz" and hang out with a gangstas and have intercourse. I only saw this piece of trash because I am a big Elijah Wood fan.

2. Unbreakable-This film was terribly boring. Bruce Willis kept acting monotone. The lighting was bleak. And the story was laughable at best. I heard this film had a terrible ending too.

3.Gossip- This film was just too silly. Joshua Jackson can't act. I just could not get into this film. Maybe it got better but I had to get out of the theatre to hear some plausible dialouge before I puked and went six feet under?

How could anybody be a big Elijah Wood fan?

And another thing.
He wasn't in Pulp Fiction.

Lindsey

He didn't say that Elijah Wood was in Pulp Fiction,he was saying he was in "Black and White".

"Battlefield Earth" and I was damn glad I missed most of it! What the hell was up with that annoying wipe? Couldn't they find another way to change scenes?!?
"Dungeons & Dragons" So horrible...
Well you saw the topic!
It was just friggin' stupid!
And also "A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2,
Freddy's Revenge", the only revenge Freddy got, was on his fans for this piece of garbage!

1) Barbarella. I saw only 5-10 minutes of it.
2) A Clockwork Orange. 5 minutes, just not my kind of film.
3) Natural Born Killers. I saw 45 minutes of it, awefull film.
4) Grease. I have never seen the whole film (but almost). I'm really ashamed I saw some parts of it.
5) Superman IV. Seen like an hour of it, it's so worse!
6) The Blair Witch Project. I've seen the whole film at the movies, but I had to, because I paid a lot of money to go and see it. It was one of the hardest times I ever had at the movies.
7) Hannibal. Seen the whole film when I was more or less half drunk. Thank God for that, because if I would have been sober, I probably would have left the cinema inmediately.
8) The Mummy Returns. I loved the first Mummy-movie, but I couldn't bear watching the whole lot of the sequel.

-Scary Movie
-Blair Witch 2(i liked the first one though)
-Waterboy

Too bad 'cause I really like Ed Norton, but this film forever debunked my girlfriend as a decent movie chooser... From now on, I choose the flicks.

Walked out:
Don't Say a Word
Election
Evening Star
(What was the one recently w/ Burt Reynolds and the other old geezers? )

Turned off (on video) Hannibal, fell asleep to Snatch, turned off Crouching Tiger, and have never made it all the way through Matrix!! I'm ashamed about that one!
