I think Happiness is the most disturbing film ever. What do you think?

I think it's certainly in the top 10. The dog scene...ugh!! The Philip Symour Hoffman character has to be one of the most repulsive "heros" ever!

River's Edge is also disturbing.

Rosemary's Baby, Texas Chainsaw Massacre are very disturbing movies. It is too hard to determine the most, probably "Schindler's List". That gets to me! "The Omen" was disturbing, "Seven", "The Parallax View". I'm sure there are more.

I dunno about EVER, but the most disturbing movie I've seen recently was BOYS DON'T CRY (3/10). Didn't like this one. It was boring for an hour and a half, so when it got disturbing, it wasn't very powerful to me. Just...disturbing.

THE VIRGIN SPRING was disturbing to me (I saw it as a young kid).

THE BEGOTTEN, especially the opening scene with the creature stabbing itself repeatedly, got to me.

I don't know why "Crash" hasn't been mentioned yet.
This movie makes the erotic parts of Eyes wide shut seems like a Disney movie!

Nothing has had such an impact, and disturbed me as much as REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.

I hated that movie! It has the most negative possible outlook on teenage life. The main character is such a jerk, you just want to blow his head off! The film as a whole made me queasy. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif Ugh!

Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer

The scene where he and his partner videotape themselves killing the family and then watch the tape over and over.

Requiem For A Dream - The most disturbing movie I've ever seen, especially the part where Sara thinks her refridgerator is attacking her.
Cannibal Holocaust - The director actually had to go to court to prove that the gore was all fake, though the animal slaughterings in the film were real.
Se7en - The fat man's death in the beginning freaked me out.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The room with the feathers and the bones did it for me.

As posted in another topic, the most personally disturbing movie for me was 'La Dolce Vita'. I saw this movie right after my father died and that plus the theme gave me emotions that are still with me today - 40 year later.
Also, another Fellini film - 'La Strada'. You will never forget the heartbroken trumpet of Giullieta Masina.

From what I've seen of it: 1900. But I probably need to go check it out again.
