I just got done re-re-re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix and was thinking about the questions left for books 6 and 7...

Here's just a few of the top of my head...

What did Harry's parents do for a living? Were they Unspeakables?

What does "they have thrice defeated the Dark Lord" mean?

Why does Dumbledore trust Snape?

What did Dumbledore send Snape off to do at the end of GoF?

Who overheard Trelawney's prophecy to Dumbledore in the Hog's Head?

There are more, but those are all I can think of now... Any thoughs?

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS TO SOME

1. Rowling said that what the Potter's did will be a major part of the upcoming books. But no clues as to what it was yet

2. The prophecy said thrice "defied" the Dark Lord, I don't think they defeated him as much as they manage to escape from him and his followers 3 times.

3. Again Rowling siad it will be spread out over why Dumbledore trusts Snape in the 6th and 7th books.

4. Dumbledore sent Snape to resume his place as a spy among Voldemort's Death Eaters, in the 4th book Voldemort lists out the 6 missing Death Eaters and one he says was too cowardly to return, which was Karkaroff, one that was his most faithful servent and has has now re-entered it, which was Barty Crouch aka fake Moody, and one that he believed left him forever which some can assume was Snape. The others dead or imprisoned.

5. Rowling hasn't mentioned to anyone that the matter over who overheard the prophecy will be a big part in the final two books.

Oops, I meant "defied," not "defeated."

I know that these questions will be answered in the next two books, I was just curious to hear some of your theories.

About question five, it may not be that important, but I'm absolutely positive we will find out who overheard the beginning of the prophecy. J.K. Rowling loves to give names to many characters, even if they are very minor, so it struck me odd how there was no mention of who was listening to Dumbledore. I have a theory that it may have been Snape, before Dumbledore trusted him, but that is a whole different discussion.

I think The Hogs Head has more significance than that of a dodgy wizard pub. It is already widely believed on the internet that Aberforth Dumbledore (Albus's brother) is the owner of the pub, which would kind of explain why Dumbledore decided to meet Trelawney there...

I'm getting tired, I'll stop for now. :)

Yeah the other reason I think it might be Aberforth is because in the 5th book Harry went to the barman and when he saw him he said that he looked strangely familiar, so it could possibly be Aberforth maybe working for the order again incase plans are made at the Hog's Head by any of Voldemorts followers.

Yep, that's why I think Aberforth is the owner of the Hog's Head.

I also think he is the one who caught the person listening to Trelawney's prophecy....

I can't wait for books 6 and 7, I need some answers.
