It seems as if all of the other threads about Fahrenheit 9/11 turn political to the point that they could be shut down. Since this is the politics forum, I figured we could have the debates here instead of in General Movies or Current Movies. I'll be the first in line on Friday to see this.

I'm ready to see it this Saturday. I hear it's not up to par with his other films, but I'm really going to see it just for the information.

I'm seldomly excited about the movies that come out these days, must be old age. But I think I'd actually like to see this one. Don't know exactly when I'll get around to it, but it's on my list.

July 9th here quoth. It's up against around the world in 80 days and I bet F9/11 takes more.

I'm extremely excited for this movie. Michael Moore did a superb job with Bowling for Columbine, and he looks to repeat again with this new documentary.

I'm seeing it the 29th and can't wait. I doubt many will see it and change their votes from Bush to Kerry, but it'll be an interesting movie to reaffirm my beliefs Bush needs to get out

This film riled me up, yet also made me feel a sense of powerlessness, knowing that I am a Texas Democrat and knowing full well that there is a chance that he could still be president in 2004. I hope enough people saw it to at least be exposed to new information and maybe form a new thought or two. I'm not expecting conversion by people from one party to the other, but maybe the emotional appeals of the war on the family will make average Joe think twice before voting for a man that has hurt a lot of families so far with this war, both here and abroad.

I don't deal in half-truths. It sets me off to hear anything this man does be called a "documentary" when he has obviously made a lop-sided slam and disregarded many facts just to make himself look right and make millions while he's at it. I'll skip this until I can see it on a free rental at the video store or someone sends me a bootleg. Because I'm sure as shit not spending a dime on it.

I think that all good documentary filmmakers need to take a side to root for and use facts to support its argument. If it presented a bipartisan look at the issue, it would be a dull, ineffective film. Also, I would love to know what the half-truths in the film are, esp. since you haven't seen it yet.

I saw it Friday afternoon and had a great time. I have never seen my local indie theatre so packed, it was a madhouse. Moore really had the audience going, laughing, shocked gasps, and clapping and cheering (especially at the end). All in all, this was a great cinematic experience, which is what I was hoping for.

He doesn't know if there are half-truths or not. That post was nothing but a lop-sided slam.

I couldn't believe how crazy this movie was selling out for the weekend.

Obviously the box office results are telling me how crazy it really was.

I went to the local MALL theater that only has maybe ONE non-mainstream movie playing a month. Of course F 9/11 was this movie this month. I go there because no one ever sees the documentaries or indie films at this theater.
It was sold out for the last two showings.

I then went to the local indie theater, and people were in line for the 9:30 showing - which was sold out - at 8:00pm. I couldn't believe it. It was on two screens there, and only the final 10:30 showing had tickets for sale.

It's a juggernaut!! AHHH it can't be stopped!!:D

I just saw it earlier this afternoon and it was great. I give it an 8.5/10. Nothing could stop this movie from hitting big.

I give it a 9/10.

Maybe the huge turnout for the documentary shows how this country now feels about Bush.
