The time has come. The schmoes must now pick from the list of pre-selected choices above. The time has truly come for Moonraker to be either raised on high or chucked off a cliff like a suicide crazed hoard of lemmings...

where was i? Oh yes, get voting...

I went in for "good first half, went to shit when they got into orbit". I always enjoy Moonraker up until that point. after that though...it goes down faster than Paris Hilton with the camera rolling.

"Moonraker" is my favorite Bond film, and I consider it the best. I always preferred the Roger Moore era over Sean Connery's. Sean was a good Bond, but the films are just too dated to enjoy now. Roger Moore Bond films are what Bond was about: A little action, some raunchy suggestiveness there, here some tounge-and-cheek over here, and filmed products that aren't, unlike preceeding era, too dated to enjoy.

But, back to "Moonraker." I enjoy it for all its great action, cheesy 70's vibe and everything. I think Roger Moore was at his peak as James Bond here. Despite the moonraker plot, the movie was mostly your typical Bond film: James Bond globe-trotting all over the world to figure out the bad guy's plot and save the world. Lots of action. I even like the space-set finale. I found it rather creative. I love the final frame with Bond and the Bond girl in the space pod and Q and the British agency spying on them..."I think he's attempting re-entry, sir!" :D

MOONRAKER all the way! Very underrated!

It was great, but it wasn't horrible either. I'd give it an above average grade of 6/10. I've recently beguin trying to watch all of the old Bond movies because I've never seen them and out of the 4 or 5 I've seen so far this was one of the better ones. However, it was still just average. I'm not becoming a very big fan of the series.

Nobody's perfect ;). Something I've noticed though, through many years of conversation, is that the people who are less into Bond as a whole, often state Moonraker as being one of the better movies. Curious...anyone fancy offering a theory on why?

Because it's a cartoon of a movie.

All the cliches are all present & correct making it appeal to the lowest common denominator (See also Die Another Day).

Most Bond aficionados hate this film with a passion & with inexcusable gaffes like making Jaws a goodie & the motorised gondola/double taking pigeons it's easy to see why.

I thought it was decent. Not the best, but not the worst either.

There is no such thing as a bad bond but this was the worst
