Not Another Teen Movie as gone too far!

OMG! I just saw another preview of the movie. It was a different one, and even though I want to see it bad, they've gone too far (LOL). They are parodying and making fun of American Beauty. That is not cool. They showed a scene where 'the popular jock' was talkin to his girlfriend and said "You're leaving me for this guy?" and the camera panned to a guy with a camcorder parodying Ricky and he said "I'm not weird." How can they make fun of American Beauty?! That is like the best movie I've ever seen. I've grown attached to this movie, I'll never forget it. I've seen it about 84 times now and it's apart of me and it is sooo not a teen movie! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/mad.gif

PS - I'm just kidding about being mad http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif. But, I do love that movie so much and for this film to degrade it by categorizing it as a teen movie is not cool. I guess because I could relate to almost everyone in American Beauty, almost especially Ricky. I love the speech he gives to Jane while they are watching the plastic bag. It's touching. I loved American Beauty (10/10), it's one of my favorite movies of all time. And I can't wait to see Not Another Teen Movie, it looks hilarious. And it really doesn't bother me that they poke fun of it. American Beauty isn't really a teen movie, actually it's a movie that mature teens and adults can all enjoy. The movie does have teens in it though and they are making fun of a teen from that movie so I really don't see what the big deal is.

I always thought that the teen with the camera was a parody of the American Pie movies, because in them Finch (A Teen) carries around a little portable camera, and video tapes things... So in my opinion, NATM is not making fun of American Beauty, it's making fun of American Pie 1 and 2.... Just a thought....

This is the first genre parody in a while that I actually think looks good. I thought Scary Movie and the recent crop were awfull.

When I saw the trailer for NATM I saw the American beauty scene and the first thing I thought was American beauty is not a teen movie. I guess they are just going after it because it has teens in it. Also did you notice that one of the main characters is named Jane.

Actually, her name is Janey, instead of Laney (She's All That).

I just saw that and was about to post it. It was from She's All That although Lester doesn call Jane, Janey several times throughout the movie. But, it's parodying She's All That though.

This movie looks like crap. Sure everyone will get a few laughs, and than it is done, over, fineto. I think these parody movies are SO unfunny, and I hope this fails at the box-office so another one is NEVER made. Just my opinion though,...

Whats important is whether or not the movie is funny. and Not Another Teen Movie looks very funny.

I'm sure some (most) of those people haven't even seen it and were just trashing it. I think it will be good, I have faith in it. Hell, I liked Scary Movie 2, I'm sure I'll enjoy Not Another Teen Movie.

True American Bueaty isn't a "teen movie" but look at Scary Movie, or even worse Scary Movie 2, the movie is called Scary Movie yet between the two there were jokes about Dude Where's my Car, Charlies Angels, Usual Suspects, Matrix, river dancing, I could go on for days. I guess they just run out of teen movies, or horror movies to make jokes about. By the way, just wanted to say Scary Movie 2 was the worst thing I've ever seen. So if you haven't seen it, avoid it at all costs.

Scary Movie 2 hilarious? If you like third rate jokes, half of which were stolen from the first movie mind you, that took 7(!) people to write then I can understand but to me that was absolute garbage.

......Possible Spoilers, I guess............

"Hey people liked the cum geyser joke in the first one, let's use it again!" "Nobody likes people in wheelchairs, let's have someone in a wheelchair fall down the stairs a bunch of times." "Chris Elliot's hand is gross, let's waste ten minutes or so on that joke alone." And don't get me started on the bus scene. How's my driving? 1-800-Kiss-My-Ass. Think about that one, someone wrote that, thought it was funny enough to have someone print it up and use it in their movie. Oh and the parrot. At least they were clever about puting Richard Moll in there seeing as that was actually somehow related to scary movies.
I mean if you thought it was funny, that's cool I'm not trying to be a dick about it, but I absolutely hate that movie more than I can say. But at least that girl from 90210 looked good in it, not Troi Spelling, the attractive one. By the way, when did her cans get so big? Sorry to get off topic.

Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to NATM. I was watching comedy central earlier and they were showing a few clips from the film.

Looks like this might just be a good season for stupid comedies. First you had Out Cold which I have yet to see, and now you have NATM and How High coming out.

Well said Horror Whore, although I did actually like Thora Birch and Kevin Spacey's perforamcnes. The film didn't do anything for me, why it won best picture is beyond me however the Academy's picks never go with what I think anyways.

Well at least it looks like Not Another Teen Movie should deliver in the female nudity department. It's good to see they didn't fall into the whole "Tomcats" trap and end up one giant tease. Here's an early report about the good stuff:

The "R"-rated flick garners lots of female skin. Jaime Presslyis not nude, but has several sexy outfits including her cheerleading uniform (in which she performs a very funny dance), her underwear in a locker room scene, and red underwear later in her bedroom during the "Prom song" sequence.

Also during the "Prom song" you can see Mia Kirshner in an incredibly sexy set of black underwear and stocking stretching out on her bed singing how she's going to "fuck her brother tonight". (Trust me - just see the movie.) Mia also has several other sexy moments and nice cleavage in a number of scenes as well as a rather gross tongue kiss with the older woman (newspaper reporter) pretending to be a high school student.

There are some miscellaneous skin shots in the movie - but the most prominent comes from Cerina Vincent, who was not only on Season 2 of "MTV's Undressed" but was Maya, the Yellow Galaxy Ranger from the Mighty "Morphin Power Rangers". Cerina plays the Shannon Elizabeth role of the foreign exchange student who walks through the film (always) and in several scenes nude. Great shots of her breasts and a few of her butt with a shade of full frontal in one shot.

Lacey Chabert from TV's "Party of Five" plays co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt role from "Can't Hardly Wait" and has several sexy shots in the film as she walks into a room in slow-motion. No nudity but some nice cleavage and she looks GREAT!!! Her first moment - you almost think it actually is Hewitt.

Yea, but, I just hope it's not a big hit because then we can expect Not Another Teen Movie 2. The title seems to tell us that it's dumb, like *sigh* Not ANOTHER Teen Movie *sigh*. You what I mean?

This movie is sooo biting off of Scary Movie in many aspects. Twenty-four screenwriters, characters names that sound like the names from other movies of the genre, same kind of sexual jokes, etc. I admit I liked Scary Movie (7/10) and I haven't seen Scary Movie 2. But I have a feeling that if they make a sequel like Scary Movie did, you can expect Not Another Teen Movie to parody war movies or something ridiculous like that, since Scary Movie 2 parodied Cast Away, Charlie's Angels, etc.

PS - Just saw the rating over at IMDb and it's got a 4.1/10. Yikes! I'll wait to see this on video...
