This was complete news to me, I just found this our while lookin on ebay, I come across a book called Halloween III: Season of The Witch Novel by Jack Martin. I was stunned!!! I never even knew the movie even was a book. Has anyone ever read it? I'm gonna pick it up and see for myself it's better or worse than the film. And if yall have read tell me your thoughts and were you surprised as I was that there was a Halloween III book.

There are many paperback "Movie Tie-ins" that are out there. I actually have the novelizations of Hallloweens 1 to 4. The pride and joy of my collection is, the 1974 issued novel of "Night of the Living Dead"(Its no longer in print) It features pix from the movie, sporting the original logo on the cover. It also features the hands coming through the boarded up window frame. What is even more interesting is that they elaborate on Ben's character a bit more in depth. Towards the end of the story, the narrative describes Ben's thoughts of his wife and children back home...
They never once give us any background on his character in the film. Its Interesting to find such subtle differences, between film and Novelization!
These Movie Tie-in paperbacks can be highly collectable indeed. :D
You should see my collection of James Bond novels...Sweet!

There's a novelization of the slasher Final Exam, and the movie The Beast Within is based on a novel. I read part of it online and it's definitely dark and creepy. It also gives some backstory into what happened before the beginning scenes of the film, which is good, because after I saw the movie for the first time, I was really confused!

The best one to read is April Fool's Day, because it goes on way after the final party scene. The Entity is pretty in depth and explains a bit more and Poltergeist has a bit more clown action with Robbie than in the movie. I like to read movie books.

I hear that Mr. P!!!
I failed to mention I own the hard back edition of the original "Dawn of the Dead"...It's a great read, plus they give alot more depth to the shakey relationship that Peter first had with steven earlier in the story.

That is Mrs. P :D
OH yeah I bought my husband a mint Hard Cover of Dawn at half.com for 6 bucks a few years ago. Someone obviously did not know how to price it because it never goes for 6 bucks. We were lucky to have George sign it at a convention a few years ago. Anyway that is a good book and also I have the Hard Cover for Martin and that is very good and contains a few bits not seen in the movie.
