View Full Version : king arthur gets a pg-13
king arthur the new epic movie earned a pg-13 rating.that means no gore or graphic violence or nudity.im kind of disapointe i thought it would get a R rating.oh well im still gonna see it.what do you think.
Of course it's PG13, it's a big summer blockbuster and would lose too much money if it was R. Anyway, I'm giving it a miss, I've seen at least 20 tv ads for it and it doesn't open for another month here, which is annoying the beejesus outta me.

I had a feeling the film would be rated PG-13. However, I was hoping it would be rated R instead. King Arthur does not look like a PG-13 film, it has "R" written all over it. But what can you do? It's the summer movie season, and any rating below an "R" means more money.
I'm disappointed, but I'll still see the film in theaters. My expectations are going to be very low.

No surprise there.

I could have sworn that I read an article a year ago that said bruckheimer was aiming for an R-rating. That's why he hired Antwone "Training Day" Fuqua

I smell "Timeline" success for this one...

Agreed. This one is starting to reek of Timeline.

I remember reading that too and that's why I am so disappointed with the rating. Oh, well. I'm still looking forward to it.

I read a story a few days ago on Dark Horizons that they toned it down from a R-rated cut to a pg-13 cut. So maybe we will get to see the r-rated cut on DVD.

Meh, this just gives less reason to see the movie.
Personally, if you ask me, Anchorman opens two days later and looks leaps and bounds better, even though you can't compare the two, really.

I swear, if I see one more falsely epic, CGI army in a big battle again, someone's gonna get it, and it won't be pretty

I think I will be skipping this one. With no R rating it just doesn't have much appeal.

Everyone of coarse is entitled to their opinions but I just don't get why some people would decide to not see it just because of the PG-13 rating. Almost everyone loves The Lord of the Rings movies and they are PG-13 so this still has a chance of kicking ass since those movies have GREAT battle sequences!

Like everyone else here has said, that's not surprising in the least, although I was surprised when Troy was slapped with an R rating...
