View Full Version : A fifth 'Vacation'

I was viewing the audio commentary on Christmas Vacation, and it was either the director or Matty Simmons, but they mentioned something about there plans for the next 'Vacation' movie. & then Beverly D'Angelo said that you shouldn't be promoting an upcoming movie on a DVD commentary.
That was all that said. Do you think this means that a fifth Vacation is happening? It's been rumored for years, and Chevy Chase surely needs to do one to get his career back on track. Chase, D'Angelo, Randy Quaid, and Miriam Flynn certainly have the time to make another one.
I don't see anything on the Internet though about this happening.

There was that sorry ass sorta a Vacation movie minus Chase-D'Angelo but centered MORE on Randy Quaid's character. To add on the original actress who played Audrey was in it. As for ANOTHER Vacation?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo..............
It's TIME to mooooooove on already....

If they did another one I think it should be in Hawaii. But it could never live up to Vacation or Christmas Vacation.

I dunno about that I was insulted THEN when Anthony Michael Hall as the first Rusty said to Chase its a good thing we didn't go to Hawaii this year....

A request for clairification--could someone list all the films in the series thus far, preferably in chronological order? Thanx.
I don't see the point in making another entry. Chevy Chase is a has-been. He's not bankable, and neither is this series--how well did Vegas Vacation do, really? The only chance it would have to be even moderately successful would be to put Randy Quaid in the lead role, with Chevy in the background, if they even bother with him at all.
Really, the National Lampoon people should just retire the series and come up with a stand alone movie.

I think Chevy Chase was one funny guy in his Vacation movies. I loved all of those movies. I hope another one gets made just for old times sake.......though I don't know how popular it would be now. ''Shrugs''.
