I was just watching the trailer for FT13th part 3 .
It said that the film was in 3D, Now for the upcoming boxset do you think Paramount will throw in a pair of 3D glasses like New Line did with the Nightmare on Elm set?????

I don't think so. Paramount just released info about the boxset. Overall it's dissapointing.
Paramount has issued a press release for their Friday the 13th DVD collection, entitled "From Crystal Lake to Manhattan". The 5-disc box set (2 films per disc, as well as a separate bonus disc) will retail for $60.00. The release date is set for October 5th. All the films will contain the same transfers as the previous discs, but there is a batch of new supplements that have been added. Here is a list of supplements:
Cast commentary on FRIDAY THE 13th - PART 3 by author Peter Bracke and actors Larry Zerner, Paul Kratka, Dana Kimmell and Richard Brooker
Commentary on FRIDAY THE 13th – PART VI: JASON LIVES by director Tom McLouglin
Commentary on FRIDAY THE 13th – PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD by actor Kane Hodder and director John Carl Buechler
Commentary on FRIDAY THE 13th – PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN by director Rob Hedden
A featurette “Tales From the Cutting Room,” in which exclusive deleted scenes and footage is revealed for the first time.
An 8-part featurette “The Friday The 13th Chronicles,” which looks at the legacy of the films throughout their history, featuring cast and crew commenting on each film and why they appeal to audiences. Includes Adrienne King, Amy Steel, Corey Feldman, Kane Hodder, Lar Park Lincoln, Betsy Palmer, Tom Savini and directors Sean Cunningham, Tom McLoughlin, Rob Heddon, Joseph Zito and John Carl Buechler.
A 3-part featurette “Secrets Galore Behind The Gore,” which looks at the work of master make-up effects designer Tom Savini in Part 1 and Part IV and John Carl Buechler in Part VII. Includes rare and never-before-seen footage, drawings and stills illustrating the make-up techniques used to create Jason and achieve elaborate death scenes.
A featurette “Crystal Lake Victims Tell All!,” in which cast and crew from various films share amusing anecdotes. Includes Corey Feldman, Larry Zerner, Adrienne King, Amy Steel, Lar Park Lincoln and directors.
A featurette “Friday Artifacts and Collectibles,” which looks at props and collectables from the films.
The theatrical trailers from all 8 movies except Part VI, which is represented by the teaser trailer.
no updated transfers, no uncut movies. Double sided discs. Looks pretty bad. Basically just some commentaries.

Those Cheap Bastards at Paramount!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have enough money to call up a special Scavenger Hunt and ask the real fans about the Uncut Versions of the movies and could try to fix the special shots for a special package.
If i was head president or something of that company i´d definately put up a ranson up to..I do´nt know...$3,000 dollars for the special Friday part 3 Uncut..with the alternative ending..and finding it (Cause i know theres people out there that have it....Arrow???) and try and put it ona dvd and get all their money back.!!!!!
Am i right or am i right!!!!!!

You're totally right. Don't even get me started on the poxy fucking box set. We are living in the age of the dvd, if PARAMOUNT haven't noticed - Having bucket loads of extras is one of the benefits that dvd have over the old vhs. Hell - I may as well just watch my grainy old videos - the dvd's aren't UNCUT - so fuck the difference. How hard could it have been to get the complete editions of the films?! Not hard at all! They owe the rights to the first 8 films for fucks sake.

PSYCHO DUDE -
There is a thread entitled "Our Prayers have been answered - Friday the 13th box set" in Current/Upcoming horror. COUNTCHOCULA has posted a pic of the box art. It IS actually very good - shame about the rest of the set.
P.S - I would put a link up, but I'm SHITE with computers!! :(

Yea. This set sucks overall. The cover art is pretty bad. Not one original Theatrical Poster Art on any of the DVD'S. Originally, as I stated, they were supposed to be flippers, looking at the pics, it may be two films on one disc via dual layer. Either way still sucks.

I have part 3 in 3d ( You need field sequential glasses to get the effect ) , it's the only way to see it , and it's just as terrific as i remember when i first saw it in theaters . To not offer the 3d version is a total waste of time in my opinion , don't even bother .
