Am i the only fucking person that actually enjoys getting to the movies EARLY so i can see the trailers????

i know a lot of ppl think that trailers are just a necessary evil before the feature...but DAMMIT i like to watch them......i enjoy knowing what's coming for my future viewing pleasure....

there's nothing i hate worse than the fact that most ppl (at least around here) show up right in the middle of the trailers and are loud as hell......

hey just cuz you don't wanna watch them doesn't mean i don't....so SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SHIT DOWN.......bunch of ass jacks....

I enjoy watching the trailers, too. I don't like Mountain Dew and Army commercials. I can stay at home to see those.

Well it DOES suck when people are STILL slithering in when the trailers are running. That is why some theater chains don't dim the lights out immediately when they are on. I don't mind the talking whether you are already seated. Hey I do talk too. It's allowed. But like you said people standing there looking deers caught in the headlights look is ALWAYS gonna be there whether we LIKE IT or NOT. :D

People act like the trailers are the movies these days. As long as you get the jist of the movie, who really cares. Well I guess you do, but.... I rather them walk in then, then during the movie.

I like to see the trailers too. I hate it when I miss them. It also irks me that they have standard commercials now.

the worst were the coke/nascar commercials that ran for the longest

Trailers are great, but with the internet I usually see them before I hit the theaters.

I definately had my full of trailers last night. I went to see Spider-Man at the midnight showing. I sat through 15 minutes of trailers and commercials just to watch the beginning of Dodgeball. I got up went to the concession stand and told them it was the wrong film. I went back to my seat and ten minutes later they put Spider-Man 2 in. I had to sit through 15 more minutes of commercials and trailers before it finally started @12:45. I was happy they finally got the right movie in but, I had to get up one more time during the opening credits because of a large fuzz ball that took up the left corner of the screen(pubic blob). I complained and they finally cleaned the lens. I didnt get out of there until about 3AM. Im sick of trailers.

Yeah - I like a 20 minute "comfort zone" in getting into a movie, getting concessions, and seated.

Trailers are great -- It's hard for me to ignore them on the net, but I try.

I try. I try real hard, Ringo.

I like getting their to see the trailers. Its part of the whole experience.

The ads can suck my pecker though. I've taken to going to the toilet when they start so I don't have to watch them.

I enjoy seeing the trailers before a movie, however it's the ads that piss me off. If I wanted to see ads, I'dve stayed at home and watched the TV, I want the movie and some trailers played before it.

I really hated those commercials with the three college homos, who couldn't get over the fact that you could get movie tickets over the internet, and thought that it was the greatest thing ever created. They finally got rid of them (or they were probably caught smoking pot, like Steve from the Dell commercials). Now they've got some stupid unfunny commercial with a bad acting couple who don't get to see the movie in the same theater together because they didnt get their tickets over the internet.

When I get to a movie early, its to watch the trailers. Not to see 15 minutes of Pepsi, car, and other shit previews. If I wanted that I would watch TV.

I like watching the trailers. The only bad thing is that I go to the movies a lot, so I end up seeing a lot of the same trailers, which is annoying.

I don't like the 2wenty either. Why can't they have trivia, real estate ads, and Coke bottle races like all the other chains?

[This is Regal I'm talking about, BTW]

I think my Regal is doing something different now. We used to get the commercials and that 2wenty crap, but when I saw Spidey today they were running trailers for movies circa 1995. It was weird.

Really? Wow, that kicks ass. Mine's still doing the 2wenty, though.

I love the trailers, don't mind the commercials (though I'd prefer not to sit through them) but really, REALLY hate the cheezy elevator crap music they play too loud BEFORE the trailers start so you can't talk to your friends when it's still permissable to do so.

And the little quiz slides that are either wrong or out-dated or both drive me insane. Update, you cheap sad fuckwads!

I actually get kind of pissed off when I miss trailers. Seeing those upcoming movies on the screen is just..something I enjoy. Hell, sometimes those trailers are better than the movie they're attatched to.

The trailers are the best part of the movie going experience, the ads are what make the experience shitty. When theres only 4 trailers and 20 commercials thats a bit ridiculous.

I must say that locally we have a deal where the Jimmy Fund runs a long ad before the movie. It's this little mini-documentary showing how the guys from the steel worker's union who helped build the new Dana Farber Center bonded with the kids in the cancer ward. They would write the kids' names on the beams as they worked and the kids would put up drawings in the windows. Every week on payday the guys collected money and donated it to the cause.

After they make everyone in the theater watch it and bawl their eyes out they come around with a cup for donations.

Manipulative? Yep. And I put a 20 dollar bill in the cup every fucking time.

My wife and I get to the movies and in our seats at least 15 minutes (with our popcorn and drinks) before the trailers.

I hate when people walk in after the lights go out and stand in your way looking for a seat.

I love watching the trailers. They are there to show us what will be available soon. If people don't want to watch them, just sit there and shut the hell up for us that do.

I don't understand the fuss. Trailers are adverts too.

Besides most of 'em are crap. They all seem to be voiced by the same guy & go something like this "He was a man on the edge ... pushed to the limit ... now he's striking back ... yadda yadda yadda"

Maybe but you don't actually see them constantly like normal TV-ad's, yeah sure you can watch trailers to no end on the net but you have a choice while on TV you don't and the worst part of it is the show (or tv film) your watching has taken a break and that annoying ad comes on, you change the channel and another annoying ad plays. And seeing that same annoying ad play in front of you in the cinema, it just drives one to the brink of insanity (well, it did for me).

I hate ads playing in the cinema, although there are the occasional good ads (mostly ones I haven't seen before).

Another bug bear with trailers is that lately I've noticed a trend to divulge entire plots during their run time.

People complain about spoilers on here but if you took notice of every trailer you wouldn't have to watch half of the films being plugged as the outcome has already been shown.

I love to watch the previews... but I have been noticing more and more that there are LOT of fuck'n commercials on the preshow now... WTF!? The movies used to be the only place I could go where I wasn't bombarded with stupid fuck'n advertisements! DAMN IT that's annoying!
