It is a good question and one thats been on my mind for quite a while. I don't know the answer but I have been looking and listening and haven't heard anything. One thing that makes no sense to me is that a Martin Scorsese collection is coming out in a few months with special editions of Goodfellas,Meanstreets,Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, and After Hours but no Raging Bull. Along with Taxi Driver his best movie and it is out of print. Why the fuck would they not include it.

MGM owns the DVD rights to Raging Bull, not Warner Bros.

Actually, no thats not right. Warner now owns the catalogue (formerly UA/MGM). MGM does not own Raging Bull, they do not own The Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, Network, Singin' in the Rain, An American in Paris or any of the originally released by MGM films.

Warner owns the Americna distributing rights for Raging Bull.

Please, get your facts straight. Raging Bull was distributed by United Artists, and MGM still owns the entire United Artists catalog. Look it up

No. Thats not right. You get you facts straight.

Exhibit A:

Network.

Original release (circa 1998-99, OOP 1999.):

Redone snapper edition:

Exhibit B:

Singin' in the Rain

Exhibit A (same as Network)

Ehibit B:

And the same is implied for hundrds of titles, including Raging Bull.

No, no, no. WB now owns most of the non-UA MGM films, like Network, Singin' in the Rain, An American in Paris, North by Northwest, etc. Warner Bros. does NOT however, own the United Artists films. These are the Bond films, Annie Hall, and others. Among these is Raging Bull. Please look it up.

BTW, if Raging Bull was among the titles that WB got, how come it never got repackaged with the rest of them?

I'd imagine if the Scorcese box set and other releases sold well, that a Raging Bull SE would be released soon.

BTW, since when has Taxi Driver been out of print? I see it everyday at almost every DVD store I shop at, on sale for about 14.99

The original release of Taxi Driver is out of print. The Collector's Edition is not.
