Also opening this weekend. The trailers make this look ok but nothing great but most of the reviews I've read have been very good and I do like Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd alot. But I still may not see this until it comes out on DVD since I would probably have to take a train ride to the city to be able to see it.

Overall I'm don't like musicals and this movie seems like a good example of why that is. JoBlo's negative review (4/10) sure also isn't helping my judgment about this flick.

Musicals bore me and this looks boring. I'll pass. What has happened to Ashley Judd? She used to pick good projects.

At least she's doing something different. I could've sworn the last couple movies I saw her in were remakes of each other...
I might check this out in theaters, depending on who I'm going with.

saw this tonight in NYC-- it was HORRENDOUS. Another dull, lifeless biopic. I love Kevin Kline-- I also LOVE cole porter's music, but this movie made it so dull and uninteresting-- I was already annoyed by the time it got to the second musical number-- and there was TWENTY FOUR-- I counted-- All staged in cheesy, showy ways-- the worst of which have well-know musical stars singing in a style theyre not accustomed to-- prompting audience members to scream out "Oh look, it's Sheryl Crow/Robbie Williams/etc...". The only decent number was the one featuring Alanis Morisette. Even Elvis Costello's scene sucked. Seriously, just a deadly dull film-- avoid at all costs

This movie seems somewhat like Topsy-Turvy, the Gilbert and Sullivan biopic, and Topsy-Turvy sucked. (Sorry Badcoverversion!)
So I'm not really intrigued about De-Lovely either. The NY Times and NY post both bashed it yesterday too. I'd much rather see an actual Cole Porter MUSICAL performmed somewhere than a whole bunch of popstars singing his songs. I heard Kevin Kline's voice isn't great either...

I was looking forward to this one- I love Kevin Kline but to see the negative reviews is disappointing.
