I am all of a sudden getting into creature films such as Lake placid, Anaconda (can't wait for the sequel) and Deep Blue Sea, Jaws and etc. Can you guys name some other films that might interest me and please mention what the killer creature is (shark, snake, alligator...whatever). Thanks in advance

Howabout Mimic, the film involes giant, gentically created cockroaches called the "Judas Breed".

Not a bad film, not great but watchable. Better than its STV sequel by far.

I've actually been tempted to rent it a few times but always find something better but will give it a watch either this or next weekend thanks.

Razorback is worth checking out. Giant carniverous Australian pig flick. You don't get many of those.

On a similar note i'd like to recommend Brotherhood Of The Wolf. Giant carniverous armour clad lion flick. You don't get many of those.

Special mention to the tiny carniverous bunny rabbit that features in Month Python And The Holy Grail and the giant mutant poodle from The Bone Yard.

I saw it when I was akid. All I remember is that it was in B&W, contained rivers of giant bunnies, and the afforementioned bunnies tried to break down a cellar door. . .

Everyone reeks on Night of the Lepus, but I liked it. It's the 70s...what more do you want? Long live giant killer bunnies! ;)

Continuing on the theme of cheesy, fun 70s creature movies, try out Food of the Gods, Phase IV, Empire of the Ants, & Pirahna. Giant ants, bees, & rats as well as killer people eating fish are always good for a slow night. Another one is Gargoyles. It's a made for TV movie, but I thought it was pretty good.

I haven't seen Venom, but a lot of people say it's a pretty good movie. Sssss is another decent snake movie.

Finally, Day of the Animals, The Pack, & Slaughter are good too. You get birds, dogs, cats, any animal you can think of going crazy.

Well, you simply can't go wrong with "Ticks"...it's awesome.

Also, there's :

The Relic (one of my favourite monster movies)
The Fly and The Fly 2
Spiders (not bad)
Spiders 2 (AVOID!)
Jack Sholder's Fantastic Factory outing, "Arachnid"
Bats
Squirm (killer worms)
Proteus (a genetically engineered killer shark)

these are some good horror movies with animals in them

MIMIC - great movie. Pretty violent and nasty. Great FX too.

EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS - is jsut fun times and pretty cool to watch.

Starship Troopers - about those bugs and a big battle. MAN vs. Bug!

Jaws 1 and 2 - the only acceptable ones. First one was awesome.

Hope this helps. But definitely try to see MIMIC.

Get Parasite w/ Demi Moore in it. Is a cool flick with lots of gore and Stan Winston creature effects.

You didn't say "you don't get many of those" for the tiny carniverous bunny rabbits and giant mutant poodles, so are they fairly commonplace..? ;)
