I noticed that recently too. Usually there is a way around it. Sometimes you can put the DVD in the player, turn it off, then hit menu. Works for some.

On South Park season 4 it asks you if you want to watch the previews or just go to the main menu. More DVD's should be this way.

None of my dvds do that. You could always hit the menu button.

Ive noticed some dvds do this but not many. Mainly FOX. I too like when you have the option of choosing preview or going right to the dvd. Although my favorite is when they just put "previews" as an extra on the main menu itself.

I have been noticing this of late as well. I find it very irritating... Put that stuff on the menu and if I wanna watch them I will thanks.

Some players have a way to get around. I just don't like being FORCED to watch it. What if I just wanna get to the movie?
But DVD's are not that bad versus rental VHS. FOX was theee WORST. Packed in both coming soon in theaters and to video along w/ TV trailers? :confused:

Universal, Disney are the ones that automatically loads the trailers

I havent seen Fox and Warner practice this....

I guess I'm the only one who really doesn't mind previews prior to the DVD's main menu. Maybe because prior to 2002 I never owned a DVD and just got used to the VHS setup.

Yeah I recently noticed that on, I think it was Pitch Black. But it gave me a choice if I wanted to go to the menu or watch the previews.
