I didn`t see a related topic anywhere so I`ll post it here. I just read from Creature-Corner (http://www.creature-corner.com/dvd/jul02hellrasierset.php3)
that there is an Anchor Bay Hellraiser Box Set containing the first 3 movies and a couple of Clive Barker`s short films heading to UK. Some of the extras were also mentioned:

HELLRAISER:

* Featurette 1: "Under the Skin: Doug Bradley on Hellraiser"
* Featurette 2: On-Set interview with Clive Barker
* Featurette 3: "Resurrection" documentary
* Hellraiser Merchandising Promo
* Audio Commentary with Clive Barker
* Audio Commentary with Clive Barker, Ashley Laurence and Pete Atkins
* Theatrical Trailers x 4
* TV Spots x 5
* Storyboards
* Scripts x 2 (as .pdf files)
* Picture Gallery

HELLRAISER II: HELLBOUND:

* Featurette 1: "Under the Skin: Doug Bradley on Hellraiser II"
* Featurette 2: On-Set interview with Clive Barker
* Featurette 3: Onset interviews with Clive Barker, Tony Randel,
* Claire Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Imogen Boorman and Kenneth Cranham
* Featurette 4: Behind the Scenes Montage
* Featurette 5: "Lost in the Labyrinth" documentary
* Audio Commentary with Tony Randel and Pete Atkins
* Audio Commentary with Tony Randel, Ashley Laurence and Pete Atkins
* Theatrical Trailers x 4
* TV Spots x 2
* Scripts x 1 (as .pdf file)
* Picture Gallery

HELLRAISER III: HELL ON EARTH:

* Featurette 1: "Under the Skin: Doug Bradley on Hellraiser III"
* Featurette 2: "Raising Hell on Earth" - Interview with Anthony Hickox
* Audio Commentary with Anthony Hickox and Doug Bradley

We've also learned a bit about the potential packaging; when it's released you'll have your choice of standard slip case, which I'm sure will look very smooth, or a special "lament configuration" open out box, the obvious choice for the true fan. Can't wait to see how it looks!

I think they should also add the Motorhead music video to the Hell on Earth disc. Otherwise, I`m almost definitely going to buy this, cause the previous UK Hellraiser discs have been quite crappy.

By the way, how do I know if I`ve seen the uncut or cut versions of the first three Hellraiser movies? I`m pretty certain that the Hell on Earth I`ve seen was cut, because I`ve seen a trailer or something wich had the makings of some cenobites in them, but in the movie I`ve seen, it practically showed none of the cenobites while being made.

I`ve seen this version of Hellbound ---> http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000049959

and this version of Hell on Earth
http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000026360

I don`t know what edition of the first movie I saw.

I don`t know what edition of the first movie I saw.

That's the current UK version of Hellbound Xipe, and it's heavily cut:

The opening replay of Frank's (Sean Chapman's) final moments from Hellraiser (11s worth) has been replaced by a close-up of Pinhead saying We'll tear your soul apart.
The creation of Pinhead loses 7 shots totalling 6s. ie 2 shots of hooks digging into the flesh, 4 shots of a razor slitting his scalp and a shot of the final nail being driven deep into his skull.
55s has been deleted from Julia's (Claire Higgins') resurrection; 35s of razor slits, 16s of the victim crawling across the floor and 4s of Julia feeding from the victim's neck.
The transformation of Channard (Kenneth Cranham) into a cenobite suffers; a 2s loss of an injection of needles, 3s of cheese wire digging into his skin and 4s of a thing forcing its way into his mouth.
Kirsty's (Ashley Laurence's) encounter with Frank 2 cuts totalling 6s of Frank peeling the skin off his face and a 1s close-up of Julia's hand entering his back to rip his heart out.
Channard's hospital visit has a 1s cut showing a knife jamming itself into a patients forehead
Channard's battle with the Cenobites loses 3s of a female cenobite's spear wound in the throat and 8s of Pinhead having his throat cut.
The climatic scene of Channard's death has 2 cuts totalling 3s, ie a shot of his head being torn in half and his body spurting blood.
The maggot-slicing scene on the bed is heavily cut, all slicing is eliminated
All of Tiffany's hallucinations are cut somewhat

I find it highly unlikely the UK censors would cut any of that now- the full uncut version has already been on sky tv here, so the anchor bay release should be uncut. Indeed the pinhead throat cut is actually quite comical, bradley over plays the scene. The 'get them off me' scene is still pretty nasty though.

Though not stated at the official site, Anchor Bay seems to be releasing a special edition of Hellraiser: Bloodline at the same time too. Wonder why it`s not in the box set.

At the moment there are still some hopes of Motorhead "Hellraiser" music video appearing on the Hell on Earth disc and both versions of the box set have a booklet in them.
Quite a nice set coming if you ask it from me.

Well happily Xipe if you go to the UK censors website (recent decisions/video)- www.bbfc.co.uk today you'll see we are getting the uncut version in the boxset. :)

I'll likely buy this. That lament configuration box looks cool but I can't help but think that six months down the line it could look a little tatty. I used to have the limited edition R1 tin containing the first and second movie but I sold it in a moment of desperation. Wish I hadn't done that.

Yeah, I know :D All of the movies in the box set are uncut. They even say that Hellraiser 3 has never been released anywhere as uncut and with as good picture quality as it is going to be by Anchor Bay this time.

I will definitely buy this box set, but I fear that there might be a bigger box set coming out someday containing the first four movies of the series, because a special edition of Hellraiser: Bloodline will be coming out from Anchor Bay sometimes next year.

Yeah but I dont hold out on box sets. There may be a better version someday, and yet there may not be. This looks great -- will be picking it up, hopefully the limited collector's edition.

The dubbing of Frank was done when the film's budget was upped and acquired for major distribution. There is no version with Frank's original voice - although we will be including a rare teaser trailer which features several of the actor's undubbed voices."

Now THIS will be interesting. Good to know they're looking into some details here

The Lament Configuration box looks great but also a bit...how to say...well, dumb. Each disc it set on the walls of the box. Also it seems that it's cardboard box, so one'd have to be very careful with the set. I don't know. Maybe I'll get the ordinary set. Cheaper as well.

Alright, I`ve had the box for some time now. There seem to be some general problems with the set from what I`ve read on the ABUK forum and experienced myself, that I think you should know about. There are complaints about the disc-holders being too tight and cracking the discs and discs 1 and 2 having problems playing on some players (PS2 for example). I have experienced both of these problems to an extent. My Hellbound disc has some cracks in the center and has some freezing and skipping problems when played on PS2. On computer though, there are no problems.

The set itself though is absolutely kick-ass. The menus are beautiful, the picture quality of the movies is almost chrystal clear, the sound is in wonderful DTS, all of the movies are probably as uncut as they`ll ever be anywhere. Hellraiser and Hellbound are the same uncut versions that were available in the states, but Hell on Earth has nowhere been as uncut as it is here. The extras are fabulous with a total of 5 commentaries I think, wonderful "Under the Skin" interviews with Bradley on each film and basically all the extras from the previous releases plus the shorts Salome and Forbidden with interviews. Those last things I haven`t watched yet. If anyone has any questions, I`d be happy to answer them.

What I'd like to know is the Clive Barker commentaries. Is there a lot of insight to the story, backgrounds etc. Are they any good? This is what interests me the most. Depending on the answer I might get a copy of the set.

I personally would have liked him going deeper into Hellraiser mythos, but both commentaries are entertaining and insightful enough. Talking more about making the movie, specific scenes, etc. The commentary with him and Ashley works really well IMO, because they have really good chemistry together, laughing at each-others jokes and feeling really comfortable.

Both commentaries cover pretty much the same area though.

Anchor Bay does it again with this boxset. While the 'windowed' featurettes could be kind of annoying, the amount of stuff on this boxset makes up for it. It's too bad we Region 1 guys don't get it unless we pay up for it.

One question though: on the 4th disc, why the hell did Anchor Bay stick the fullscreen version of Hellraiser 3 on there? C'mon guys, give us some production photos or poster art.

As Marc Morris, the producer of this set, said on the ABUK forums, they put it there simply so that people could see how good the new remastered version on disc 3 really is compared to the previous version.

:D The easter egg on Hellraiser disc is quite fun. Other easter eggs were nothing special, but that`s quite cool.
