oh that sucks. does anyone know how long ago it was released there, cause if it was recently then maybe it will come out here soon. if it was awhile ago then it looks bleak that we would get the set here anytime soon. i know this might sound stupid but would those movies work on an american dvd player (by the i play dvds on my xbox, if that makes a difference)? thanks for the link anyhow

Not positive on when it was released, but I think it was just last year.
No these DVD's won't work on an American DVD player, and not on your Xbox. They're Region 2 DVD's, and I don't believe the Xbox plays other Regions besides 1; the same goes for the majority of American DVD players. However, a LOT of players out have various hacks that will make them region free (that's what I did with my Pioneer) so you may want to look into that. Get the model and make of your DVD player and check vcdhelp.com for information regarding that.
On a side note, I have a friend who owns this box set and it's really nothing special - you'd be better off just buying the DVD's separately. The 4th disc has the removed scenes from Army of Darkness but they never included it in the DVD with the box set which makes no sense to me. Just buy the Directors Cut and don't worry about this set, unless you're hellbent on buying it and/or are an Evil Dead collector/fanatic. Hope this helps.

I also remember seeing the box set at my local Best Buy, so you can find it at some retail stores.

There is also a "necronomicon" trilogy box set out in australia but its noly the aussie versions of the film, basically barely any special features for dbd or aod. But it is very cheap, so i gues thats why.
you can check it out HeRe (http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/227385)
