I only have enough money to buy one
Which one should it be?

I`d go with Evil Dead 2, because Army of Darkness is more of a comedic fantasy/sci-fi movie, with undead and I think some of the jokes got too silly to be funny.

P.S
If you`re planning to get the whole series, why not buy the Evil Dead Trilogy box set. Last time I checked, it cost the same as the Book of the Dead edition of Evil Dead 1, yet it has all the best editions of all three movies in it (including the Book of the Dead edition) and a extra disc with documentaries.

Actually, I`ve got to check if there is a region 1 box set out there. If there isn`t then I`ve got to appologise.

ive always thought Army was the best out of the trilogy, although it was the first one i saw, it is incredibly funny though and a lot of fun

Army Of Darkness - 10/10

Tough choice. Both are awesome movies, so I'd say to try and get both. However, since you're strapped for cash, grab Evil Dead II for the commentary, and save Army Of Darkness and the hilarity for later.

Evil Dead 2, I don't really rate Army Of Darkness that highly.

Difficult choice but I'd go with Evil Dead II. The comentary is pretty entertaining. I enjoy it more than AOD

They have. The region 2 Anchor Bay set. I own one.

Also, I'd reccomend Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn. It's a hellva lot funnier. Besides, Evil Dead 3 more mainstream and easier to find in video renting joints if you want to see it.

I vote you put that $ away till next week and get the new Evil Dead comic book, IMO if youv'e seen the movies just wait till u can afford the box set and get a brand new story of Ash battlin' demons from hell and so on, it's called "Evil Dead Ash's 2 Ash's"
