Things seem to have slowed down while I've been away at my girlfriends, and I haven't been able to check up on you all while I've been away, as her internet has been off and on, pretty much like her pan....nevermind.
Anyway, I think its time to open the second of the individual movie threads- as, I would imagine, the title of the thread has already given away.
So, what are you waiting for...get on with the discussion already ;). For some reason though, I'm not expecting much in the way of dispute over the greatness of this movie. Then again, you can never really tell with you lot ;)

The first real Bond film.
Cracking in every regard except Bond's love interest who is a definite step down from Honey Ryder.
This film is hard to judge for me. It's tightly plotted, stylish, has a few really good gimmicks, good villains, an alright Bond girl....but I can't really watch it that often. It's a very slow film, and well it never lapses into being plain dull, it definitely has a pacing issue.

Its probably my fave Bond film thus far. Its got a great script for one, and I've always felt that it moved at about the right place...slow seems a little harsh...its measured, but I enjoyed that more than Bond running around with uzi's (see more recent movies ;)). It has one of the sexiest Bond girls as well, Tatiana Romanova really does get the blood pumping to places sacred to me...I find her to be absolutely irresistible. oh, and sexy fighing gypsy girls? I'm there...
I've always maintained that it has two of the best adversarys for bond as well, in Klebb and Red Grant. The showdown on the Orient Express is one of the best bond moments, and I dare someone to defy me on that score.
Brilliant gadget as well...I want a briefcase like that when I start practicing law.
To me, its the Bond movie that all the others have to beat, and thus far, although some have come close, nothing has managed to top FRWL.

The flick is in my opinion the 6th best bond film but it is perfect and no flaws. Sean is badass and Shaw is a good villain

Continuing on!
From Russia with Love(1963)-9/10...the second James Bond film is a dynamite spy thriller. First Bond film where we have the opening action scene followed by the sexy opening credits with the title song sung by Matt Monroe. This film also introduces Desmond Llewelyn as Q the gadget expert. Connery really hits his stride as 007 as the crime organizaton S.P.E.C.T.R.E sets a trap to have Bond go to Istanbul and steal a decoding machine and transport it and a Russian who wants to defect back to England. Daniela Bianchi plays the stunningly beautiful Tatiana Romanova. Lotte Lenya is the evil Russian officer Rosa Klebb with a shoe with a poison tip and Robert Shaw plays Grant the sociopathic killer who follows Bond. Classic scenes include the gypsy girl fight and the ensuing battle, the fight with Bond and Grant on the train and Bond being chased in the hills by an airplane.
