abandapart only means a movie based on the TV show.

I would be up for this movie if done right. I've heard the Walker/Kutcher rumor for Bo & Luke and I've heard both Jessica Simpson AND Brittany Spears mentioned for Daisy Duke. NO THANKS!

I also read a rumor somewhere, maybe it was AICN, that the guys who made Super Troopers might be making this. A PC version of the General Lee w/ no rebel flag was also mentioned.

I definitely don't have high hopes for this movie.

Good god, has the world gone so PC that the General cant have the rebel flag??

Why not just make it a 73 Caddy with hydraulics, Bo and Luke can become Tyrone and Rasheed and instead of it taking place in the south, have it in New York.

Really looking forward to a new DOH movie. It will never top the original TV series but as long as its done right I can't see why it shouldn't work. Not sure about changing General Lee though...

I've wanted a Dukes of Hazzard movie for the longest time, but not with any of the casting choices mentioned so far. I think it's safe to say that this movie will bear virtually no resemblance to the TV show that I adored as a child and still love to this day.

The Dukes wouldn't be a safe investment for ANY company. Not that it wasn't a good show, but it's far from any popular trend. I doubt if people would want to watch the brothers hop dirt piles and listen to folk for an hour and a half.
This flick would be great opening weekend, when fans of the Dukes came out and saw it. But after that, the production company would have a big flop, and a lot of millions, wasted.
Not worth the risk - no payout.

Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that Daisy Duke will be played by Jessica Simpson.

I'll never watch this movie.

Check out the fan art above. Obviously different cast now but not too bad attempt.
