Battlestar Galactica series (in the Cylon head)
and I have 26 other OOP titles too, but none of them are too rare (ie Men in Black CE, 2-disc Big Trouble in Little China, etc.)

Can't most of these titles be easily had at Amazon? That's not really rare.

The only titles that I have that I consider somewhat rare are the Silence of the Lambs Criterion and Sid & Nancy Criterion.

Nothing I would call rare. Many out of print like T2: Ultimate and Men in Black-LE. I was looking at Flash Gordon (1980) the other day. It was $40.00, which isn't a bad price actually.

Well if you can get them through Amazon, they aren't rare, or borderline so it's not really nitpicking.
A rare dvd is one that's been out of print for some time, and is selling for much higher than it used to retail for. And by definition, rare should be something that have only a few copies out in existance.

Than by that definition none of the DVD's listed by any shmoe above are rare. Because if it's a legitimate DVD release than Amazon has it in it's archive. No matter what region the DVD is on, Amazon will have it in that particular part of the world, German, UK, United States, and so on.
as a matter a fact, I would consider Thursday and Salo one of the most rarest DVD's out there in region 1 world and yet you can obtain it through Amazon...

I looked into it and the legitamite copy is very expensive. My friend bought a VHS copy for like $50...
So if you run across the film on DVD I say "pick it up"... I've never seen the movie but, there is no way in hell I'm gonna drop a $100 plus on a blind buy.

Well if you wanna consider it like that nothing pretty much mentioned here is rare at all because Robocop criterion, the lynch movies, cannibal films and everything else that can't be found in stores can be purchased online either through amazon, lynch's own website or other sites that i know of that carry really rare films for 20 a piece.

Last time I checked, there's a copy of The Criterion Collection's The Killer that goes for 350$ USED. I'd say that's pretty frickin' rare (I'd give anything to get an affordable copy on eBay).

My two rarest DVDs are probably Russ Meyer's "Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!" and "My Best Friend's Birthday", Quentin Tarantino's incomplete first film. I also have a whole bunch of Japanese horror, yakuza, samurai movies and king-fu flicks that you can't buy in just any high street DVD shop.

I have Howard the Duck on DVD. I'm pretty sure it's a bootleg. Does that count?
other than that... Not much. I had the chance to get a Criterion Silence of the Lambs for like $10 used, but I turned it down. Oh well.
I also have criterions of Yojimbo and Sanjuro, but I don't think they're particularly rare.
My rarest LD, however, is Once Upon a Time in the West. Well, most valuable anyway (value is next to nothing now that the DVD is out though).

Just thought i'd add something
Thursday is rare only because nobody saw the film. It made 2,000 bucks at the theatres and was limited to what, 1,000 DVD copies? If it wasn't for the fact Thomas Jane and Aarson Eckhart were in it, I bet it wouldn't have ever been released on DVD. I hate when this happens, a film is considered worthless until somebody realizes a few famous people are in it. All of a sudden, the film skyrockets in popularity. In this case, I don't think any public interest would get a reprint of the disc though.
I'm just amazed a film could do so poorly, yet do so well for DVD sales.
