I may be one of the not-a-whole-lot who actually enjoyed Batman & Robin a little better then the first Batman. The first Batman movie was great and all, but I was a bit more entertained by B&R.

Batman (1966) - 6/10 (for the cheese factor)

Batman - 6/10 (I could go on at length about everything that was wrong with this movie...and probably will before too long)

Batman Returns - 7/10 (Michelle Pfeiffer earns this movie an extra point...that was an incredible costume)

Batman Forever - 5/10 (oh dear...all aboard...going down)

Batman & Robin - I have never worked up the nerve to watch all of this...but i've seen enough to give it 2/10 (at a push)

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm - 10/10 (pitch perfect)

Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker - 9/10 (this movie has an unexpected mean streak and is the second best Batman movie ever after Mask Of The Phantasm)

Batman: Mystery Of The Batwoman - 9/10 (a close third...just a nanopoint behind Return Of The Joker)

Batman And Mr. Freeze: Subzero - 8/10 (this is how Batman Vs Mr. Freeze should be done...makes a mockery of Batman & Robin)

I've revised my previous ratings...........

Batman 1966----7/10 (So sue me, I thought that it was a fun, cheesy flick. It's hilarious!)

Batman 1988----9/10 (This was a great flick. A nice way to introduce the character. Michael Keaton rocks as Batman)

Batman Returns----6/10 (An uneven balance of cheese and darkness. Still, not a TOTAL loss)

Batman Forever----7/10 (A fun entry. Still not great. I heard that a lot of stuff was cut from the film to mkae it less dark)

Batman and Robin----2/10 (The horror... The HORROR...)

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm----10/10 (The. Best. Batman. Film. My only problem was the fact that the who-done-it was a little easy)

Batman and Mister Freeze: Subzero----8/10 (Pretty solid. It's got a couple of plot holes, but it doesn't really fit in with the show's timeline, so that's okay. Nice ending)

Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker (Unedited)----10/10 (A SUPRISINGLY dark film that serves as an excellent installment in the series. This is ALMOST better than Mask of the Phantasm)

I haven't seen Mystery of the Batwoman, but I gotta ask, why can't the live-action Batman flicks be as good as the animated ones?

Three reasons off the top of my head.

1. Bruce Timm & Paul Dini - they know their shit

2. Less studio interference resulting in a strict adherence to the rules and history as laid out in decades of comic books

3. The animation is spot on - everything just looks right - the rogues gallery in particular are wonderfully realised

If I'm not mistaken, it was the interference of Warner Bros. that kept Return of the Joker from getting an uncut, theatrical release.

Batman - 9/10
-Michael Keaton did a really good job as the Caped Crusader and was only outshined by the perfectly cast Jack Nicholson as the #1 comic book villain of all time: The Joker.

Batman Returns - 7/10
-Keaton does another good job as the Dark Knight (there's too many nicknames for Batman) and Michelle Pfeiffer was excellent in that cat outfit. Didn't like the Penguin though, especially his demise.

Batman Forever - 8/10
-Val Kilmer didn't do a bad job as Batman, but he was no Keaton. Loved the villains in Two-Face and the Riddler and Nicole Kidman oozed HOT!! Chris O'Donnell was okay too.

Batman & Robin - 3/10
-This movie sucked. George Clooney was a good Batman but the rest of the cast couldn't have been worse. From cheesy, stupid lines to bad sets to horrid directing. How the hell did the guy who wrote A Beautiful Mind write this crap?

First let me preface by saying that I grew up reading Batman and Detective comics and consider myself a big fan of the comic series. Unfortunately, these movies seemed like they were more an excercise in Hollywood ego than big screen adaptations of my beloved comic books. Each time the director seemed like he was trying to reinvent the franchise in his own image.

Okay here goes:

BATMAN: (7/10) I like many at the time initially balked at the idea of Michael Keaton playing the caped crusader. However, MK surprised me at how well he played Batman. Of course Jack Nicholson was born to play the Joker so the casting and performances are the best thing about this movie IMO. I only wish that they had gone with anyone else besides Tim Burton as director. He put too much emphasis on making things look overly gothic and it just came off overly artsy and hokey looking. Overall it was just not what I was hoping for in a movie adaptation of the Dark Knight. It was more of a Joker movie.

BATMAN RETURNS: (5/10) The main problem with this movie is that it tries to do too much. It just feels very uneven. Under-utilized Chris Walken and lots of loose plot threads plus a Penguin that has nothing to do with his comic-book counterpart make this one a dud IMO! The only saving grace is sexy Michelle Phiefer as Catwoman! Meow!

BATMAN FOREVER: (4/10) The downward spiral plunges out of control in the hands of Joel Shitmaker. This movie made several costly errors such as goofy non-threatening bad guys, an incoherent non-sensical plot, and bad casting. Jim Carrey is "meh" as the Riddler- way too over-the-top, and Tommy Lee Jones is pure cheese as Two-Face. And as much as I've liked him in other movies Val Kilmer just came off as flat to me.

BATMAN AND ROBIN: (2/10) Fucking awful-- where do I begin? Too many characters and all the wrong ones! IMO Posion Ivy was a weak choice from Batman's rouge's galley. Batgirl should never have seen the light of day in any of these films. And how the fuck did they mess up Bane so horribly? What a dissapointment there as he was one of my comic-book favs. Horrible casting. Ahnuld played Mr. Freeze like a one-dimensional cartoon character and George Clooney is a weak Batman. Too gimmicky, cartoony, and lame beyond lame. The first time I tried watching this I actually fell asleep.

I only hope that Batman Begins really will take the Batman films back to their dark comic book roots. After all, isn't that what Tim Burton claimed he was aiming for when he started this trainwreck of a franchise?

Batman 10/10 - It had everything
Batman Returns 9/10 - good, but the idea of max shrek replacing harvey dent messed up the continuity (warner bros. setting the series up for the crapper.) I love what they did with the penguin though.

Everything after those two isnt even worthy of rating

Batman (****)
One of my all time favorite comic book movies, with a perfectly engrossing gothic atmosphere that sets up the tone of the film brilliantly. Michael Keaton is ace as Bruce Wayne/Batman, but Jack Nicholson steals the freakin' show as The Joker, I totally dig his one liners and the showdown between him and Batman is classic. I also love it for how it feels so nostalgic every time I watch it.

Batman Returns (****)
IMHO, it's not only the best of the Batman series, but it's also the best comic book film of all time. A much darker, depressing, melancholy, effective movie that introduces three outstanding villains, darker but more thought provoking themes, and furthermore, I sympathized with Bruce Wayne more in this one than in the previous outing (although mind you, the original provided a great introduction of the character). And as for Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.....let's just say that I have for years, still, and always will, obsess (and I stress this word) over this woman. She's my queen, and that's final.

Batman Forever (***)
I'm one of the few people who actually likes this movie. Sure, it's cheesy and the putrid art/set decoration doesn't hold a bloody candle to Burton's dark and gothic vision of Gotham city, but it sure is a lot of fun, with much help to Jim Carrey's performance as "The Riddler".

Batman and Robin (1/2*)
The half a star is for Uma Thurman's cheesy, over-the-top turn as Poison Ivy. I enjoyed it in a "so-bad-it's-good" kind of a way. But the movie:  .
