Reading the review and interviews at Arrow's site are getting me all excited inside :) This movie looks very creepy and brutal from the trailer alone. I can't wait to see this. Anyone else? I believe this will be the first thriller/horror movie that I'm actually waiting to see badly.

I saw (no pun intended) this at the Sundance Film Festival, and all I will say is that it incorporates humor with horror in a good way.
As I watched this movie I couldn't help but think I was watching something from the mind of Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer, Dead Alive 1+2).
Either way, horror fans will really enjoy this movie because it's original in what it does, and has its share of gore and trickery.
Good movie overall, I'd rate it an 8/10.

As I've said in other threads, this movie looks fantastic.
I think Saw will be one of those goal-setters for Hollywood's horror industry. It looks like it could really raise the bar.
Goddamn, why is it that Lions Gate is the only production company with the balls to take up these projects?
Then again.... The Base 2....

I thought a situation could not get any more fucked up than in the first trailer, my God imagine what ran through her head..... but then the second trailer came out and it got even more fucked up.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think it looks very good. Infact that second trailer was pretty awful. Just a mess. A boring, uninteresting mess to boot. Danny Glover, what happened to you?
As far as upcoming horror/thrillers goes Open Water looks MUCH better IMO!

Yeap.
I really wanted to see this flick when the teaser came out, and then the trailer came out. And I have to admit, I'm kinda turned off by it. It seems like the director is just going for the shock effect. Lots of gore just to say that we can use lots of gore. Something that was used in last year's TCM and it failed miserably. Scary movies are better when its all about tension over gore. That's just my two cents.
