I'm reading the Anchorman topic and I keep noticing how people don't like how a whole bunch of footage from the trailer wasn't in the film. This just got me mad since I always see those rants saying "Why do they show the funniest parts in the trailer?!?!!? ARGH!"
This got me mad since I actually think that keeping parts out of the trailer was smart for the film since people would walk in not knowing anything. Although some people(who would probably complain about all the funny parts in the trailer)felt mislead and called it "false advertising" by doing this. I guess people just can't be happy with anything I suppose.

I like how they show clips that arent from the movie, this also doesnt spoil the "funny" parts and it also promotes deleted scenes from the dvd. So both sides win.

Well, apparantly they shot 4 hours of footage for this movie, so they definitely had a lot of footage to choose from when chossing material for the trailer and the actual movie. I'm sure it'll all be on the DVD.

With all the improvisation in the film, the four hour thing doesn't surprise me, at all.

Well, I gotta tell ya, the "funny" parts in the trailer for Anchorman made me want to gouge my eyeballs out. I thought to myself, if the best that Ferrell can do is walk into an open filing cabinet, swat women on the ass, and say things like "I love scotch. Scotchy scotch soctch", I'm staying the fuck away from this movie.
But, since it sounds like none of these parts are in the actual movie, who knows....
