I've only seen it once. The episode i saw.
Dharma, the free spirit that she is, was getting on greg about eating meat. Saying that meat is murder and we need to embrace mother nature.
They needed to get a new car. Greg, the conservative that he is, wanted a fuel efficient economy car. But Dharma, the enviornmentalist free spirit she is, went out and bought a school bus instead.
At that point, I turned the TV off. It made me spit.
WTF, Whatever happened to protedting mother nature, you stupid ass. WTF. It was just, just sp terrible.
The horror... The horror.

I never liked the show. The very mention of it still induces nausea in me.
Oooh watch the kooky free-spirit and the button down conservative get into more wacky hijinks every week.
That scenario is only funny when its being parodied on the Simpsons.

Yea, same here. You've seen one episode, and you've pretty much seen them all. And considering that one episode isn't a particularly funny or amusing one, it's not worth watching. Jenna Elfman with her "I'm a chipmunk on speed" shtick just makes me want to break something. Preferably the TV.

I didn't know that.
Just lost any semblance of respect for her.

Man, that show is just plain unbearable. I've only seen a few minutes here and there and it makes my skin crawl.
That, and Will & Grace. You see the jokes coming two episodes away, they're that predictible.
Give me Seinfield and Friends any day over that tripe.
I once watched an episode of D&G (I was drunk, I, uhm, I wasn't thinking! Please don't hate me!)
This is what happened...
D: Where you goin?
G: I have to go help my mom pack her bags
D: Oh you don't really have to go do you?
*"Audience" laughs*
Wait, I must have missed the joke, I didn't hear it.
So the next day I catch the rerun, just for the hell of it, to see what the joke was.....Nope, I didn't miss is...THAT was the joke.
So in conclusion..........Dharma & Greg sucks....So very hard

Greg's mom is a real bitch and she said she isn't worth giving any courtesy or help too.
Jeez I got that in a second.

I'm not a watcher of the show, but I think it's pretty clear that the writter's were trying to ironic.

Um, just off the top of my head -- I think she was saying that he didn't have to help him mom pack.

Exactly......Like I said in my post, the "Audience" laughed......What's so funny about this? Nothing.

It's just a joke on semantics. Either you think it's funny, or you don't. I think it's kind of funny, without having seen the show. I assume she must have used some sort of inflection on "have to". Maybe it's because I'm married, but I sort of know how they feel -- my wife and I always tell each other we have to do shit like have dinner with friends, or help someone move -- Especially when the other wants some "quality time".
You know, if you watch one episode of a show, or one joke from a show, you aren't always going to understand what is going on. It would be like me saying, "I saw one episode of Sex and the City, and the main character was trying to choose between this good looking guy, and some ugly old guy. What the hell is the choice there? That show is so dumb!"
