Since Bub was never done away with in Day of the Dead should he at least make a cameo in Romero's upcoming Land of the dead?

How would he ever get out of the missile silo?

The downstairs elevator buttons were broken, and he'd have to go through the cave maze and climb that ridiculously TALL ladder to make it to the free world.

How did the Hare Krishna Zombie die and re-appear later? Bub was a sly dog, he could ahve figured something out?

When did she reappear?

Anyway, no, I don't think it would be a good idea. Maybe have a zombie in the same kind of clothing Bub wore, but not actually the mascot of all zombies.

I never heard of Land of the Dead! Sounds cool.

Anyway no, I don't think he should appear at all. It would be "really, really" far fetched to have the camera show him out of a mass of zombies. I can see where that would pay homage to day but I think it would be silly.

I say if they show him, show his rotting skeleton with his clothes and the gun in his hand. That way to show that he did find a way out, and was killed by a survivor somewhere.

But with all logic aside, no. It just wouldn't fit in tune with the series that moves on with each step, and has nothing to do with its prior story.

Maybe in a far away shot off in the distance just as alittle wink to the fans.

No. Bub fits the Day of the Dead story, and should not be carried over. Maybe he can make a cameo in the background somewhere though.

You said it all, that would be tacky at best. This is a continuation of Romero's work, leave the reocurring character stuff to lesser filmmakers!

Well he's gonna be in so get used to it. Its not going to be done by the same actor but Simon Pegg will have BUB make up on.

It would be a nice touch to see him in it - but a background cameo only.

He doesn't have a background cameo. Trust me

It's funny reading a quote like this now. Not trying to single you out or anything the dead one I just think it's a little funny what with Tom Savinis having recurred his biker character from Dawn of the Dead in Land. I don't know if Bub actually was in Land or not and it wouldn't make sense to have him in Diary but I thought more fans would have wanted to have seen him make a cameo. I know I wouldn't have minded. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
