I just ran across this. It was such a breath of fresh air to hear Trump tell it as it is.

Donald Trump Unhappy with Bush

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Billionaire Donald Trump, famous for telling contestants "You're Fired" on his hit show "The Apprentice,"' is not happy with the Bush Administration's handling of the Iraq war.

In an interview for the August edition of Esquire Magazine to be published on Friday, the magazine says he makes it clear the administration would never keep a job with him.

"Look at the war in Iraq and the mess that we're in. I would never have handled it that way. Does anybody really believe that Iraq is going to be a wonderful democracy where people are going to run down to the voting box and gently put in their ballot and the winner is happily going to step up to lead the country?," Trump said.

"C'mon. Two minutes after we leave, there's going to be a revolution, and the meanest, toughest, smartest, most vicious guy will take over. And he'll have weapons of mass destruction, which Saddam didn't have," Trump said in excerpts of the interview released in advance to Reuters.

"The Apprentice" was one of NBC's biggest hits last season.

"What was the purpose of the whole thing? Hundreds and hundreds of young people killed. And what about the people coming back with no arms and no legs? Not to mention the other side. All those Iraqi kids who've been blown to pieces. And it turns out that all of the reasons for the war were blatantly wrong. All this for nothing!," Trump said.

Trump also proclaims he would be "tougher" on terrorism.

"Bin Laden would have been caught long ago. Tell me, how is it possible that we can't find a guy who's six-foot-six and supposedly needs a dialysis machine? Can you explain that one to me? We have all our energies focused on one place, where they shouldn't be focused," he said.

Yeah, this is comforting coming from a man who throws menatally ill people out of their homes so he can build a pretty building. I guess not everybody's hopeless.

Hmmm...to be honest guys, I don't really know anything about Trump, except that he's this super-rich guy who just had his own reality show. What's this about his driving out mentally ill people? If I knew I doubt I'd have been so quick to write a post praising him (I assure you it was this spur of the moment thing). Still, what he said was right on the dot.

Please move this to the politics forum.

Why? This is far more comedic then polotical.

Its just one rich blowhard complaining about another rich blowhard.

Yeah, I did. Struck me as really odd and funny too.

Man, can you imagine him as President? He'd probably have to "Trump up" the White House and turn it into some huge tacky monstrosity.

I'm not exactly sure what kind of business he runs, but a big part of it seems to be demolishing tons of buildings and then putting in really gigantic uglyass buildings with "TRUMP" in huge letters on the side. A lot of people don't like him because he has a habit of building huge buildings right in the way of what used to be scenic views.

He's also notorious for having amazingly bad hair. Letterman used to do a bit called "Monkey or Trump" or some such nonsense, where you could see the top part of the head of both and had to guess which is which. It was honestly difficult.

If Trump did become Prez, with his hardcore business mentality, he'd probably get a lot of shit done. Good or bad, shit would get done. No political rhetoric, he'd tell it like it is.

It would be FUN to see Dubya in Trump's office and he's sitting across from him. Darkly lit and Dubya getting all tense like that Omarosa gal... And then Trump slap him verbally w/ his famous one liner! :D

Haha, it would be just like that climactic fight between the president and Saddam in Hot Shots: Part Deux.

Saddam: "Now...I am the master!"
President: "Only the master of evil, Saddam!"

Bush reminds me a lot of President Benson in that movie. This scene is reason enough:

Benson: "Sabotage....My god, man, what does it mean?"
Colonel: "It means we have to tighten security, sir. Find out who's behind it."
Benson: "No, the WORD, "sabotage"....What's it mean?"

:p
