CAMEO SPOILER ALERT

It's been a while since I laughed this hard..at least in the year so far. Yes, I saw Dodgeball, and no, I did not find myself thoroughly amused...just a couple of cheap chuckles here and there. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for slapschtick humor..and well, Vince Vaughn..and Ben Stiller, but only when he's not overexposing himself...and that's exactly what he did NOT do in Anchorman...which I found to be one of the funniest moments in the film...but let's talk about Will Farrell...a man I think has rarely done something that I haven't pissed my pants to.(except Elf..although I enjoyed it). This movie shows Will in the exact over-the-top form I always want to see him in. From his 'glass case of emotion' to his conversations w/his dog to his egocentric behaviour to his flute playing...anything he does (or doesn't do) makes me laugh. The other reasons this movie was also so satisfying were his costars. Steve Carrell...who almost stole the show...was hilarious. The cowboy Champ (I forget his real name)..he was great...and Paul Rudd cracked me up too...his facial expressions alone made me giggle.
I think one of my favorite scenes was the ridiculous rivaling anchorman medieval type battle...it was so over the top but one that is gonna be a classic. This movie does what most comedies seldom manage to do...remain funny from start to finish. The finale was not a let down (i.e...Bear/Baxter scene).
I recommend all to check this one out...even if you don't enjoy ALL of it like myself...I guarantee at least one scene will keep you laughing well after you've exited the theater. I'm planning on going back just to try and remember some of the lines. Thanks for reading!!
