Mos Def

I just thought of adding Mos Def to the Celeb-O-Meter forum since he has recently been nominated for an Emmy for his acting role in the HBO made for Tv movie "Something the Lord Made"

I have to say I find myself admiring the man's style towards his other career: acting.

Unlike his other contemporaries, who seem to attract flighty attention towards their own movie roles as well as their more boastful goals (Snoop Dog, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, etc..). Mos seems to be taking a more lowkey approach.

Anyway.... you're opinion (music and acting wise)?

He didn't really set me on fire with his part in The Italian Job, although the "I had a bad experience" bit was pretty funny. When he was cast as Ford Prefect in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I'll admit it, I was worried. Then I saw him in Something the Lord Made with Alan Rickman, and he really impressed me with his dramatic talents, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with Douglas Adams' material backing him up.
