View Full Version : The Stunts Are Not Enough

One of the (myriad) reasons for the Bond series flagging in recent years is the lack of decent stunts.

Think back to the 70's & 80's & each film had several jaw dropping moments of daredevil stunt work.

The Brosnan films have had one good stunt (the dam sequence in Goldeneye), a couple of reasonable car chases & a surfeit of CGI.

The CGI snow boarding sequence in DAD really takes the biscuit & deservedly copped a load of flak.

Hopefully Bond 21 will see the series get back to basics in terms of stunt work but I'm not holding my breath.

.

stop it. you're going to give me nightmares...

i always loved the car doing the mid air roll in The Man with the Golden gun. they just ruined it with that shite sound effect...and the nut job who agree to ski off a mountain in TSWLM...

yeah. a few more stunts would be nice. Not that I think the brosnan movies have been lacking in excitement, but a return to the good old days probably would make me happy...

Mind you, anythings going to be an improvement on dire another day...

Bring back the jetpack as well :D

That's true, it has been a bit depressing to see the Bond films turned into straight-up action films, when really, many of the best scenes from the best Bond movies are the ones that don't involve explosions or gunfights ( the golf game in Goldfinger, the scenes at MI6, etc.)
