LOTR is opening on the same day as Titanic did!

Does anyone find it odd that LOTR is opening on December 19th, four years after Titanic? Keep in mind that Titanic became the top grossing movie and won several Oscars. Coincedense or not?

Uh, what makes this Best/Worst/Favorite... it will be moved to Current Movie Talk..

But, it's just a coincidence that it's opening on the same day as Titanic and I doubt it will gross more than it... nah

LOL. You know I never thought of that but that's right. That is funny. And it will be even funnier if the movie does win a bunch of oscars and becomes the highest grossing film of all time. Although two critics awards and no best picture for Lord of the Rings yet.
