Let's revive this: What will The Village make this weekend?

I'm thinking $52.3 million. Shymalan's name will bring in a ton of people, and there has been non-stop hype and ads for over a month. This movie is going to open big, no matter what.

i voted 55-65 million. Signs pulled a 60 million opener, and I don't think any harm has come to Shymalan's name since then. However, alot of competition (indirectly) and less than stellar reviews might hold this down to mid 50s.

Tons of people want to see this. And, with inflation, it should sell about as many tickets as Signs did so I see a 65 million opening. But I don't see it having the great legs that Signs did....
