is friday the 13th a important day to you?

To most horror fans friday the 13th means a day to watch alot of horrror movies.

but does it have more of a meaning to you?
Did something happen to make it stick out in your mind?

For me it's the day I lost my virginity (back in 98),
and this friday the 13th I'm going for my first Tattoo.

When I was a kid I had this belief that something terrible would happen on Friday the 13th because of the movies. But nothing terrible ever did until the 13th of September 1996 when my hero TUPAC SHAKUR was killed. It was one of the worst days of my life. :mad:

However, my girlfriend is moving in with me this september the 13th. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a bad omen or something. :eek:

Friday the 13th has always been kind of a lucky day for me. I don't know why but good things seem to happen for me then. And it's my favorite day of the year, jes' like Halloween! :)

When I was younger, I used to fear something creepy could happen on Friday 13th.
Then I hoped some good things would happen, as people around me seemed kinda lucky on this particular day.

Now I don't care, Friday 13th is a day like the others, which means it sucks most of the time.

Usually when it happens ehre they play some horror movies on television and that´s cool...but for the rest it gives me an excuse to talk about horror movies with regular un shmoe people.

It's nothing compared to Halloween (or the entire month of October, for that matter). Friday the 13th is about as exciting as Thursday the 29th.

well, sometimes on Friday the 13th, me and about 4 of my friends get together and watch scary movies, do scary and crazy shit, and just hange out and stuff- in fact we are going to do this on the Friday the 13th comeing up soon- but is really no big thing....we also do this on the friday before Halloween (somtimes the friday before the friday before), but we usualy go TPing/Rolling on that night- and we also do it on Fridays that happen to have Full Moons on them, and random dates in the spring/summer when we are bored.

There seem to be alot of peeps here who have brilliant opinions on horror, but can't stand rap music. Me and you are two of a kind it seems. However, I do agree that hip hop and horror don't mix very well (BUSTA in HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION), apart from BONES - cool flick. :p

P.S - I know it's off topic but ABOVE THE RIM is a fantastic film. I love b'ball too.

i thought i was the only one who liked rap, horror movies and ball (the only schmoe that is, a couple of my closest friends like all this to) and yeah Horror and rap shouldnt mix- it almost always leads to a sucky movie.

It will be my official final weekend of the summer, as school starts Monday, the 16th...so I plan on partying in the French Quarter! During the day, I'll probably watch Parts 1, 2 and 3 of Friday The 13th, as I try to view them once a year. They were part of my youth, and despite their naysayers and countless imitations and sequels, I still find them worthy of my fucking tiiiiiiiiime!
