Have you ever been so excited to watch a particular Movie, and once the credits rolled up - you were highly disappointed; Well, share them with me.
The film that I was disappointed with was Harry Potter 3, Troy, and Stigmata. I was expecting much more

Lots of movies got me dissapointed like Troy, harrry potter1,2,3 and so foth.
As you have brought up Harry Potter 3, I was disappointed with it as far as being duped into thinking it was something it wasn't.
The advertising proclaimed "Everything will change".
Of course, I wasn't expecting any great shift in terms of tone (it was slightly darker), but having not read the books, I was expecting some great story leap. But I still find it to be an incoherent series of films that don't really go anywhere.
So, nothing really changed.
I left feeling confused, because that's quite a bold tagline, and nothing significant happened to merit it.
I still enjoy them, for what they are, though, and it does seem to be heading into more interesting territory.
Perhaps I should pick up the books...(They are always better).

Star Wars: Episode I-The Phantom Menace
Has to be the King of Disappointments. While I didn't expect it to recreate the magic of the original trilogy, I wasn't expecting this vat of diaherrea gravy. Terrible.

The first time I watched Pulp Fiction I was kind of disappointed, but it's slowly becoming one of my favourite movies.

Dark Blue.
One of my favourite actors Kurt Russell working with a James Ellroy script & a director with a good track record in Ron Shelton.
Not to mention good reviews all around by the critics.
Yet it sucked harder than a Dyson vacuum cleaner.
& as for Scott Speedman all I can say is those people who give Freddie Prinze Jnr a hard time about his acting should check this guy out.
The very definition of wooden.

If you were disappointed about these films then movies aren't really your thing. Keep listening to your audio tapes.

Anywho, recently:
Heat and Man in the Moon were huge disappointments. I was a little let down by Whale Rider BUT
the king of disappointments is still Scarface.

The Exorcist
The Others
Both put me to sleep. I found them slow and very, very dull, and I was really buying into the hype. Scariest movies ever? Yeah, right.

Underworld
Troy
The Matrix Revolutions (To quote Arrow 'That's IT?')
The Italian Job (Remake)
The Lost Boys (Slightly, but it certainly ain't guilty of war crimes or anything)
The Exorcist
The Omen
The LotR trilogy. I watched them all and got something out of it, but that doesn't change the fact that they are overrated on an almost criminal scale.
Resident Evil
Van Helsing (once again, I wasn't offended by it and I will more than likely buy it on DVD, but I was seduced into thinking it would be an all round knockabout instead of a CGI fest)
Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Antoino wasn't given too much to do, Salma was criminally underused and Johnny was relied upon too much)

Starsky & Hutch (Had lot of good people involved but relied on too much predictable and unfunny gags. Ben Stiller only added to the pain)
Troy (I still liked it, 7/10 here, Brad and Bana were good, but I was expecting a bit more of an epic that what it was)
Equilibrium (Christian Bale is a great actor, and Taye Diggs was solid, but I was severely let down. I think I was expecting too much going in)
The Matrix Reloaded / Revolutions (Didn't explain anything at all. Relied too much on effects)
The Lord of the Rings series (I don't deny they are well made, but I think they are heavily overrated. The first film was the best for me, even though i'm not in a hurry to see it again anytime soon, but The two Towers and ROTK were a bit taxing to watch. Considering the budget, some of the effects were painfully obvious, and Elijah Wood is very grating on the nerves)
