Which of Nicole Kidman's two great performances this year did you like better: The Others or Moulin Rouge!? I loved her in both, but thought she was better in Moulin Rouge!.

I would have to say The Others, so far it's the best movie I've seen all year and is the only one that gets a 10/10 from me. She was awesome. If she doesn't get a Best Actress Oscar nomination, let alone win, then I'm boycotting the awards!! ... Okay, maybe not, but it would be pretty fucked up.

Tough very tough call.

Both were excellent films, The Others (9.5/10) and Moulin rouge (9/10).

The edge performance wise would have to go to her performance in The Others. It was a very suttle and quiet performance that had to be pitch perfect in order for it to work and Nicole was just that, PERFECT.

Her performance in Moulin Rouge was amazing and her singing was fantastic however this role wasn't as difficult as her role in The Others.

Great topic. I hope Kidman's performances in two of this year's best films don't "split the vote" come Oscar time. I'd give her role in THE OTHERS the edge, but only slightly.

Her performance in The Others was certainly closer to the type of performance the Academy likes to award, but unfortunately being a genre film might hurt it. Nicole was also great in Moulin Rogue, but acting-wise I think The Others was a better role.

Although I haven't seen Moulin Rouge yet! I plan to this tuesday when it comes out on video, I think her performance in The Others was great...and it seems like the more edgier performance so if she gets a nomination I think it will be for The Others...

Hopefully at Oscar time she'll get nominated for both movies, I just can't really pick between the two. At the start of Moulin Rouge (10/10) she went quite overthetop, but in The Others (9/10) she stayed focused the entire time. But it might've been the directors wishes as to how she acted.

Aaaa, stuff it. I loved both of them.

Right On! EOnline named her Entertainer of The Year as well.........that's got to be a slap in the face to her ex-Tom Cruise...hehe

Both excellent films. Both excellent performances. If I had to pick one, I would choose her performance in THE OTHERS- must be her best ever.

I just rented and watched Moulin Rouge! actually expecting to be disappointed. Thankfully, I was not. I gave it a 9/10.

This year has been incredible for Nicole Kidman. Moulin Rouge! (9/10) and The Others (8/10) have certainly been her two greatest performances in her career. Decided which is better between the two is difficult, but I think she was better in Moulin Rouge!, and that gets my vote for Best Actress this year.

Ewan McGregor was damn impressive too, but not quite as good as Ms. Kidman.
