Images on a Thread

Please can someone tell me how you get images up on a Thread - I have tried everything, but when I post my thread, it won't show my picture!

It depends if the image you wanna display will hotlink out or not....
Some will not, usually using the commands "url" is a second alternative...
Also this thread belongs more in sites/suggestions.
