Venom vs Carnage??

Seeing as we've had Freddy vs Jason and soon we'll have Alien vs Predator, would you guys prefer we get a Venom vs Carnage flick instead of seeing these two characters incorporated into Sam Raimi's Spider-Man universe?? I'm actually not sure how I feel about this, I think I'd be pretty happy either way, but I thought it'd be interesting to read other people's thoughts on this since I've read several posts opposing the inclusion of V & C into future S-M installments.

I didn't know Sony didn't own the rights to Venom, New Line cinema does. So who owns the rights to Carnage?? If it's New Line, I guess we have our answer as to what were going to get.

That is an interesting point. What the hell was Marvel Entertainment thinking when they let THAT happen? That's like selling the rights of X-Men to Sony, and selling the rights to Wolverine to New Line!

BTW. I heard that the early buzz (according to a friend, but I have yet to come across it online) is to have Rhino, Scorpion and the Beetle taking on Spidey in part 3, and having H. Osborne behind it. Sounds good, but prolly a fanboy pipedream with no real truth to it.

Although these sorts of things can be argued to death, since it's all reliant on the fabricated circumstances and outcome, and other extraneous factors penned by the writer...
But, for the fun of it, one on one, Carnage should be able to wip Venom into shape even if Venom is a fanboy favorite, Carnage twisted love for mayhem and the dexterity of his suit should prevail.

As to the comic questions in this forum, yes it was a limited series, and yes carnage had a baby. Venom gave birth to "child" in brocks cell when he broke him out of prison, and Cletus Kasady was consumed by it. Everytime a symbiot gives birth, the offspring seems to be more powerful. Although..it was never quite explained why symbiotes like to poop out babies in random places...but thats besides the point. Carnage is more powerful, however, and has, can, will beat Venom in a straight up fight. Need I remind you that Spidey and Venom had to team up to defeat Venom when Kasady first started to spread his "message of chaos."

Why couldn't Spike think of a BETTER foe to Venom than Carnage?

well, we know spidey 3 is going to do some damage at the box office. and if venom actually survives this movie, since they usually kill the villain off, then the chance of venom vs carnage would be awesome news to the fans.

I couldn't agree more about Carnage. I said in another thread about him:
CARNAGE to me was a fluke, a quick money operation by Marvel to capitalize on Venom’s popularity.

I would like to see a Sinister Six story where Elektro, the Scorpion, Mysterio, The Rhino, Kraven the Hunter and let's say the Hobgoblin hold the city hostage or something. I think it is way to early to speculate about a Carnage vs Venom an idea I don't even like.

I think the Maximum Carnage storyline would translate great to the big screen. Carnage was one of my favorite supervillians. A serial killer with powers... you don't get much cooler.
