How High = How Stupid!!!

This looks like such a stupid movie. It looks immature and completely unfunny. Of course maybe that's because I'm not really into "druggie" movies, since most of them suck. I know a bunch of immature teens will see this movie and it should do "ok" at the Box Office, it should make at least 30 Million, 60 Million tops. I don't think I'll be seeing this movie though, even on video.

Who here actually plans on seeing it?

I loved the film Don't Be A Menace to South Central......one of the best comedies ever made and How High looks so funny. Plus I'm a big Method Man fan to........

The only funny part Ive seen in the trailer is when the asian guy who likes rap says "Im from far East coast", other than that one line I see nothing that would be funny.

If you're talking about "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood" I'd have to admit I did like that one. I thought it was really funny.

But How High just looks so stupid. I don't know which one is method man and which one is redman but when that one guy started barking in the previews I knew I would not be seeing this movie. That part looks so stupid, the same with the rest of the movie. If you want to go see it that's ok with me but I'm not a fan of anyone in the cast and I think it looks just plain dumb. Unless I see a better preview, since the only ones I've seen are the ones on TV, I won't see this movie.

How High looks like one of those bad UPN TV shows to me. I agree, Mike, to me it looks immature and unfunny too. I usually don't like movies that mostly revolve around black people making fun of white people. I mean, what would happen if a movie was made about white people making fun of black people? It'd be considered racist and offensive. But that's not the reason How High looks bad to me, it just doesn't look funny to me is all.

If I said anything that can be interpreted as racist, I apologize, but I don't think I did.

The concept of How High is hilarious- two guys get stoned and become super-smart! Sounds sorta like Legally Blonde to me. Anyway the jokes in the trailer are actually pretty funny (I don't call a proper education 6 years at a community college!) but still the whole concept looks like something that could fade easily in less than 5 minutes if I actually went and watched it.

#2. I'll go to watch it, but more for the 2 females featured in the film(Lark Voorhies &
Essence Atkins). Maybe this movie will open up new doors for them. Also, in my opinion, this movie is indicative of all other movies(comidies in particular) that feature Hip-Hop
artists(with one exception:"Friday").

I never liked drug humor. Generally, it just shows a lack of imagination. Apparently the image of a car filled with weed smoke is supposed to illicit waves of laughter from me, but it just doesn't do the trick.

In reality, this is the ONLY way you could actually watch Redman and Method Man try to carry a 90-minute picture.

Though I did watch Shallow Hal high... And it still sucked.

The other day I was trying to help out my sister in her computer HTML class over the phone. I was high at the time, and was eating cereal. Halfway through the conversation I just started laughing, and didn't stop for five minutes.

I want to see How High, I wanted to see The Wash too. These are not going to be good movies but they are sure going to be fun. The movie I don't want to see though is Not Another Teen Movie, it lookde about as funny as those two horrible Scary Movie spoofs. I can't wait till people start spoofing spoofs. At least in How High their being more satirical than doing another trite parody.

I laughed a lot during the film. I loved it. I would give it a 7 on 10 for what it is. I will skip "How High" however. Not my bag.

I will personally be skipping "How High". I don't think it looks funny. It seems to remind me of Shawn/Marlon Waynes type of humor, which I have never enjoyed.

Oh My God, I just got back from a screening of How High, and it was fucking hilarious, I've never laughed so hard in my life... This is by far the funniest movie of the year, everything about it is just funny, cool, and entertaining!!!!! Redman and Methodman did a great job in this one as the weed smoking, cheating to get into college duo!!! They certainly had fun well doing this movie it definetly shows. And although the movie is stupid as all hell, it still delivers the laughs and thats what its all about, shit, of course this movie is stupid, what the hell do you expect from a flick about pot? A hardass drama thats going to be Oscar Bait??? I think not, thse kind of movies are supposed to be stupid. Actually their supposed to be stupidly funny, and How High is exactly that and nothing else.. It never fails to entertain, it always makes you at least chuckle a little bit. With all those hardass drama oscar-wannabes out this Decemeber, How High is the movie you wanna see if you don't like those Oscarbait films all month long, it definitly is in a league of its own. How High is fun, funny, entertaining, and stupid all at the same time.. I think everyone should see this one if they wanna get away from all dramas out this month. It allows you to have fun, it never ever makes you think. Its just a film about a couple of potheads who don't give a fuck about anything but pot and pussy. Take my advice, if you plan on seeing this flick make sure you leave your brain at home it won't be needed. If your looking for a good, entertaining, and stupidly funny movie I reccomend it, but if your the kind of person that doesn't dig pot in movies or stupid movies with humor I advise you to stay away from How High. How High is an enjoyable time at the theatre, a time where you can kick back relax and laugh a little bit.

Final Grade: 7/10
